By pulsing red and infrared light emitting diodes (LEDs) on cuts, the speed of healing is greatly increased. Red and infrared wavelengths from 660 nm (nanometers) to 880 nm penetrate the skin more effectively than other wavelengths. Photons stimulate the mitochondria and this triggers a healing response. This is because the machinery of our cells is photosensitive. By pulsing the LEDs at 292 Hz, the healing is speeded even more by raising the vibrational rate of the damaged skin up to the frequency of healthy skin tissue by entrainment.
The discovery that LEDs can help cuts heal faster would not have been possible if laser therapists hadn’t been paying attention. When normal lasers are used, not only does the target area get burned, but the surrounding skin gets burned as well. Over time, it was observed that the surrounding skin that was burned heals faster than skin normally does when burned by other means. It was thought that turning the power on the lasers way down and directing the beam over damaged skin might speed the healing of cuts and burns. This is one form of Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT. Supporters of LLLT claim that it works better than LEDs, but the fact is when the laser light hits the skin, it becomes non-coherent. LEDs are a very inexpensive non-coherent light source at the same wavelengths that the lasers use and much less power is required.
Most people are familiar with LEDs and don’t even know it. Most power indicator lights on electronic devices are LEDs. So are the ones on the ends of remote controls. The power indicator lights emit light that is in the visible spectrum and the LEDs at the end of remote controls emit light in the invisible infrared range. LEDs are known as p-n semiconductors. The p is the positive electrode and the n is the negative electrode. They connect to the semiconductor material on each side of a junction. When enough voltage is supplied to the positive end it recombines with the negative side by bridging the gap. The excess energy is converted into light. The color of light emitted depends on the ratio of each material that is mixed together to make the silicon diode.
Pulsing these LEDs at different frequencies can increase the effectiveness of the LED treatments. Dr. Paul Nogier, the father of ear acupuncture, discovered that each tissue type in the body resonates at different frequencies depending on the embryologic origin of tissue. Someone would lie down on his or her back and he would check their radial artery pulse. Using a frequency generator, he dialed in different frequencies and aimed them at different parts of the body and also on different acupuncture points. If the frequencies were beneficial, the peak wave amplitude of the pulse would shift in a certain direction. If the frequencies were not beneficial, the shift would be in the opposite direction. He found that tissue derived from ectodermal tissues had a positive response to 292 Hz. Tissue derived from endodermal tissues responded best to 584 Hz and tissue derived from mesodermal tissues responded best to 1168 Hz. These frequencies are all harmonics of each other and happen to be harmonics of the D note.
Most of these lights are in portable hand held devices or in flexible foam blankets with the LEDs embedded throughout them. These blankets are used to treat large areas. The hand held devices and blankets have mostly been used by holistic veterinarians and especially by equestrian acupuncturists for about 20 years already. Shining a pulsed red LED set to 292 Hz on a cut has been shown to increase the speed of healing. Even without pulsing the LEDs, the speed of healing is incredibly increased. When submariners with lacerations were treated with non-pulsed LEDs, the wounds healed twice as fast as in the untreated controls. Even the Navy Seals and astronauts are benefiting greatly from this technology and they aren’t even using any of the pulsed frequencies.
Where are we headed with all of this healing light technology? With big interests such as NASA diving deeply into the research and development of this technology, it is sure to get more and more attention. Obviously the costs of these devices will begin to get more affordable as we find cheaper ways of making them. Quantum Devices is a LED therapy device company that NASA is working with and they have a relatively low priced LED device available for $15,000 that is low compared to a $150,000 diode laser system.
Other companies such as Chee Energy located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho have devices available for around $500 plus or minus a few hundred dollars and they can even fit in a pocket. With more affordable pricing like that, the market is enormously enlarged. If you would like to try and experience the benefits of this Star Trek medicine yourself, go to your local Radio Shack and purchase the brightest red LED, battery, resistor, small project box and switch. The folks there will be able to tell you which parts you need and how to put together this simple project. The whole thing should cost between $5-10. It’s as simple as the circuitry in a flashlight except that the light is not a bulb; it is a LED. The whole thing will fit easily in the palm of your hand depending on what you use for a case.
This kind of cheap homemade unit won’t have the benefits of the Nogier’s frequencies and it won’t look too fancy, but for minimal effort, you will be able to have a workable unit. Just use your own imagination. Use it on minor cuts as soon as they happen for 15 minutes twice a day until it is totally healed and I’m sure you will be amazed at just how fast light emitting diodes speed the healing of cuts.

If you had followed the various threads or read the information from the main website (http://www.energyfromair.com), you might have learned that we already signed a contract with a Chinese Government Concern. The contract essentially says that if our prototypes passed the certification process at Tsing Hua University, we could lay our hands on RMB$300 million (US$33m)development funds. We intend to benefit the entire world. The main Patent Holding Company in China will be 51% owned by the Chinese People and Government. There will be a subsidary patent holding company in every country which will be 51% owned by its People. The Cosmic Energy Products sold in country A will pay royalty to the patent holding company in country A. Thus every country and citizen will benefit.
There will be product companies that will be licensed to produce specific products. These products have not been announced yet as the types of products are in the thousands. It is possible for you and your group to participate in the licensing of producing these products. However, we are in no hurry to enter into a deal as almost all our prototypes are not ready to be sold as a product. (1) The Theory is now completed. The emphasis is on - all objects are immersed in Electromagnetic Waves. They are interchanging EM with surroundings constantly. They are not in closed energy systems. The analogy is - boat in calm water and good sunshine. This theory will be circulated to all Universities, Colleges and other Academic Institutions. Some top physicists will take it up and publish it in top scientific journals. Textbooks will be re-written.
(2) My focus will be on the Patent Information. The promoting of the Lead Out concept will continue. Energy can be extracted (Lead Out, Lead Out and Lead Out with Pulse) from Energy Fields via Oscillation, Vibration, Rotation or Flux Changes. Energy Fields include gravity, magnetic, electric, electromagnetic fields. Energy from Still Air is an indirect way of using Gravitational Energy. The Patent Offices around the World will have no choice but change their policy on Perpetual Motion Machines and the use of the Law of Conservation of Energy as the Roadblock to inventions.
(3) The Experimental prototypes that can be implemented readily include the Energy From Air systems, the simple Gravity Wheel (Bessler Wheel), the Wang Shum Ho Wheel, the Steorn Toy and the Pulse Machine. The details will be fully published. They are the spearhead of the Cosmic Energy Development but are very primitive from the theoretical point of view. (4) The Wang Shum Ho 5KW Electricity Generator has been assembled and demonstrated in front of 5 Chinese Officials. The chance of having 4 prototypes ready for academic tests; 200 as gifts to every nation and then producing products (including a DIY version) is good. The product is likely to be introduced via the United Nations. Even the most undeveloped Country will have working products to learn from and to adopt the technology. We shall ensure that multiple groups can produce the device. We would like to introduce the concept of Mutual Credits to ensure an orderly creation and distribution of this technology and the generated new wealth.
(5) The further technical developments include the Flying Saucer, the non-rotating 4th generation machines and the 5th generation IC machines. This is likely to include an International Alternative Energy Conference chaired by Steorn after their successful validation. They already have a group of top scientists from different parts of the World validating their device. Hopefully, the Conference will be an International Cooperation Event. We are confident that the 6th, 7th generation machines will come out in the foreseeable future. The World Energy Crisis is effectively over.

Cities in the sky or cities under the sea will no longer be fiction. People will have Flying Saucers as personal transport complete with office, communication, health, entertainment devices, etc. Country borders will be blurred. Central authority would be replaced by Central guidance.
(7) Like it or not, there will be military development of this technology. With this technology, the troops would never run out of fuel, food, ammunition, etc. They can fly anywhere including outer space. All existing planes, missiles, submarines, tanks will be obsolete. We hope to make all these developments open so that no single Nation can dominate. If there is military balance and fear of retaliation resulting in destruction of Planet Earth, there might be less temptation to start wars. This technology will allow a small nation to have vast destructive powers. The possibility of the Doomsday Bomb with matter and anti-matter would be obvious to any physicist.
(8) We shall openly discuss and promote the new order. Nationalism will slowly be replaced by Internationalism. The less developed Countries will catch up quickly as copying is always faster than inventing. As we discussed previously, the overall situation is as follows:
(1) The Chinese Government will NOT allow the development of military products by a Commercial Company in China. They will do it themselves with no information revealed to the General Public. (I believe almost all Countries have similar policy.)
(2) However, they are aware of the theory, the patents and the prototypes from us. They also bought some EBM units from Hungary. This means some decision makers are willing to risk some money and time to seriously investigate these Over Unity Devices. We believe we may be able to develop non-military products with their blessing.
(3) As in all Countries, not all Officials are of one mind. Some Officials in China are still doubtful. One who sat on and drove the Dr. Liang car said to me, "I cannot get myself to believe this Over Unity Device. Energy must come from somewhere. It cannot be created nor destroyed." I tried to explain our theory from the simple pendulum with the pulse force. He said, "I know how a pendulum works. All the energy comes from your push. That is a fact. I want no more of this nonsense."
(4) While the Chinese Officials are in the debate, we charge ahead with the limited resource we have. This forum helped me to consolidate my ideas and presentations. If I had thought of the boat in calm waters and good sunshine when I was talking to that Official, the outcome might have been different.

Extracting Energy from Gravity

Abstract --- The invention extracts energy from gravity based on the corrected theory of the pendulum. When the pendulum is pushed, it will ‘lead out’ gravitational energy at the same time. If a source of pulse force (F) is applied to the pendulum at resonance, it will keep ‘lead out gravitational energy. This gravitational energy can be extracted by techniques such as allowing the metallic wired pendulum to cut across the lines of magnetic force to generate electricity. The swinging motion of the pendulum will be slowed down because the mechanical energy is converted to electrical energy. However, such slowing down is speed up via pulse force (F). The swinging motion can be changed into a constant rotational motion for more efficient operation.
1. Technical Field
This invention is related to the extraction of energy from gravity. Such energy is virtually limitless and is available everywhere including on the moon.
2. Background Art
Mankind has played with the swing for centuries. They do not realize that when they push the swing, they get Energy from Gravity at the same time. Many people, especially little boys, have deliberately allowed the swing (or the punch bag) to knock them after pushing the swing a couple of times. They all suspected that the force knocking them was much more than the energy they supplied in the couple of pushes.
However, the existing textbooks do not consider the Energy from Gravity term and attribute the force to resonance only. They assume that all the energy must come from the couple of pushes. This misunderstanding has prevented scientists and engineers to design methods or devices that Extract Energy from Gravity for centuries. However, they did not have the theoretical basis to justify their inventions. Many of these inventions were classified as impossible perpetual motion machines and were rejected by scientists and many Patent Offices worldwide.
3. Disclosure of Invention
The theoretical breakthrough needed is the understanding and the deriving of the underlying formulae related to the swing or the pendulum systems.
The steps involved in extracting Energy from Gravity are:
1. Push the pendulum with a Pulse Force at resonance.
2. The swinging of the pendulum will ‘lead out’ the Gravitational Force.
3. Some of the commercially available swinging toys already use an integrated circuit to provide the Pulse Force. The swinging toys can use batteries or photoelectric cells.
4. If the string of the swinging toy or pendulum is replaced by a copper wire and placed between two magnets, the copper wire will cut the magnetic lines of force and generate electricity. The swinging motion will be slowed down --- kinetic energy turning into electrical energy.
5. If the swinging motion is speeded up again via the pulse force, we can repeat step 4 and get a primitive Electricity Generator that extracts energy from Gravity.
Mathematics behind Extracting Energy from Gravity
Let us consider the situation of a ball suspended by a string (pendulum) in Figure 1. In Figure 1, a small ‘pulse force’ F is applied to the ball (mass – M) with a displacement d.
The physical laws demand that there should be an acceleration equal to A where F = MA. The energy imparted will be equal to Force multiplied by Displacement (Fd). The final velocity acquired should be v (where v is determined by the energy equation Fd = 1/2 Mv^2 ). If there were no string, no friction, no gravity, no air resistance, etc., the ball should acquire the velocity v and continue along a straight line forever.
With the presence of the string and Gravity, the ball acquires the position X in Figure 1.
In Figure 2, we view the situation using the concept of circular motion. The ball is moved up and to the left because of the centripetal force C. We can treat the centripetal force C as made up of two components:
1. Component C1 is the vertical direction. It acts against gravity and lifts the ball upwards. Work is done and energy is spent.
2. Component C2 is in the horizontal direction opposite to the motion of the ball. It acts on the ball and slows it down until the velocity is zero. Work is done and energy is spent.
C1 can be thought of as contributing to the work done by the string to lift the ball against gravity. In other words, this energy is the non-obvious Energy from Gravity. Once we start or push the pendulum, work will be done against gravity by the string. This energy must be conserved.
Here are effectively two energy components acting on the system. One is the pulse energy supplied to start or maintain motion. The other is the energy supplied by the string to lift the ball against gravity! This means we ‘lead’ the gravitational energy into the system when we push or swing the pendulum!
The correct energy relationship of the pendulum (assume no energy loss) should be:
Energy In = Energy Out
Energy In = Energy from Pulse + Energy from Gravity
Energy Out = Potential Energy (MGH) + Kinetic Energy (1/2 Mv^2 )
Previously, scientists did not take into account the Energy from gravity term and thought that all the energy must come from Energy from Pulse! Thus they did not tell the engineers to design systems to extract Energy from Gravity directly. The above simple theoretical correction will lead to many devices that extract Energy from Gravity directly. We shall disclose 3 sample embodiments in this application. Dozens ore more along the same line are possible.
Embodiment 1: Use of the Simple Pendulum
Use a copper wire to suspend the pendulum. Put the pendulum in between two magnets and let the swinging motion cut the magnetic field. Use the generated electricity to do work and to supply the periodic horizontal pulse energy. This is the simplest and the most obvious solution. However, the electrical current generated will vary from zero to a certain maximum and will change direction. Sophisticated integrated circuit control is needed to provide a smooth, practical electricity generator. If the purpose is just to demonstrate the principle such as lighting a light bulb, it may be good enough.
Embodiment 2: Use a Constant Speed Rotating Wheel
Conceptually, we can spring the pendulum in a complete circle without violating the theory. In pracice, we replace the pendulum with metallic rods arranged in the form of a wheel. The generating of electric current will slow down the motion of the rotating wheel but the pulse circuits will ‘lead out’ additional gravitation l energy to accelerate the motion. If properly controlled, the rotational speed can be kept constant and the generation of Electric Current will be steady and in one direction only. This effectively is a Direct Current Electricity Generator. The secret of success lies in the positioning and control of the various magnets or pulse circuits. The energy extracted from gravity per revolution can be as much as 2MGR where R is the length of the pendulum string (or radius of the wheel in this embodiment). This value may be less if some of the pulse circuits supply the vertical force/energy. However, so long as gravitational energy enters into the system, we get free Energy from Gravity.
Embodiment 3: Use of Water in a Double Wheel
We can also use water in a vertical spinning double wheel to extract Energy from Gravity. If there were no gravity, the water should be uniformly distributed at the outer side of the wheel. However, because of gravity, the distribution of water will not be uniform. There will be a wider path at the up moving side and a narrower path at the down moving side (This is because water travels slower on the up moving side because of gravity). We can use a central shaft with fins to extract energy from the up moving water or we can use an off center shaft with fins to extract energy from the down moving water.
4. Brief Description of Drawings
Figure 1 shows the operation of the simple pendulum. A short duration Pulse Force F is applied to push the ball (Mass = M) for a short distance d. If there were no string, no air resistance and no gravity, the ball should accelerate with acceleration A (F = MA) until a velocity v (Fd = 1/2 Mc^2) is reached. The ball should then move along a straight line with velocity v forever according to Newton’s Laws of Motion. However, with the presence of the string and gravity, the ball moves to position X.
Figure 2 shows the resolution of the Centripetal Force C into two components C1 and C2. C1 lifts the ball up against gravity and does work. The resulting energy goes into the pendulum system. This is the Energy from Gravity. C2 is in the opposite direction of the pulse force F and does work in slowing the ball from velocity v to zero. C1 can be much greater than C2 as judged by the parallelogram of forces. This means that if we want to get more Energy from Gravity, we should apply small but more often the Pulse Force F.
5. Best Modes of Carrying Out the Invention
The best mode of carrying out the invention is embodiment 2 (use of a constant speed rotating wheel) as described in Section 3. If the invention were used to generate electricity only, we can draw electrical energy out directly by placing the rotating wheel in a magnetic field. The rotating mechanical energy will be converted into electrical energy directly. The rotating speed will decrease but the pulse circuits will ‘lead out’ more gravitational energy to replenish the speed. If more electricity is required, we can increase the rotating speed or increase the number of pulses per revolution.
6. Prior Art or Patents
We are aware that many scientists are working in the energy field. Some of them are also using Energy from gravity. One known patent from China is 02113293.3 granted on August 13, 2003. This patent uses the vibration energy when a vehicle travels over an uneven ground to generate electricity. It can supplement or recover some of the lost energy from an electric car but cannot be the prime source of its energy. Our theory can be applied to swinging resonance systems as well as to vibrating resonance systems. Our invention is superior because we can be the prime source of energy of the electric car.
Another known patent from Chine is 01123526.8 granted on March 5, 2003. This patent uses a rotating cylinder and extracts the gravitational energy from the central shaft to drive a car. It describes one very good mode of operation (Thus we leave out this mode of operation --- the use of the central shaft in our claims). However, the inventor did not fully understand the theory. In his marketing literature, he explained his understanding of the phenomenon using a mixture of Chinese philosophy, Western science, and mysterious cosmic forces. He did not realize that the theory was a simple ‘leading out’ of the gravitational force from the swinging motion of a pendulum.
In our explanation of the corrected theory of the pendulum, we have effectively removed the mysterious source of energy in the prior art. The same theory can be used to explain the extraction of energy from magnetic fields, etc.

The Scalar Electrostatic Gradiometer is a device which measures the interaction of environmental electrostatic fields and gradients with an artificially generated electrostatic field. This interaction is displayed on an analog meter, along with a separate electromagnetic field strength meter, so that the user may compare the relative activity of electromagnetic and electrostatic phenomena.
The user may control the polarity and magnitude of the artificially generated electrostatic field, which is used to sense environmental fields and phenomena by direct electrostatic field to field interference. By noting the response to changes in this reference field, a great deal of information about the environmental fields may be deduced. Normal electromagnetic phenomena are indicated separately, to clarify the nature of the electrostatic effects.
By mapping non-linearities in the ambient environmental electrostatic fields, an area may be scanned for "congruences" of bioelectric and exotic fields, and anticipate probable sites for future activity as well as locations of present or past events.
This surprisingly simple device has proven to be highly sensitive and accurate. By noting environmental non-linearities in the electrostatic field interactions, a broad range of formerly subjective phenomena now becomes hard, cold, objective data. New patterns of interaction between environmental field sources can shed some light on the nature of these phenomena.
This device is suitable for the study of an enormous range of subjects, such as: investigations into Paranormal phenomena of all types, geomantic and divination studies, study of standing wave phenomena, both electromagnetic and scalar, and the detection and mapping of telluric currents.
In a short time, users with no technical understanding of the device are able to detect and collect useful data in practical studies.
Notes on Component Selection:
By convention the electromagnetic field strength meter is a standard meter movement, while the electrostatic meter uses a zero centered meter that deflects right for positive and left for negative currents. Full sized meters in the 0 to 5 milliamp (-2.5 to 0 to +2.5 ma. for the electrostatic meter) range are recommended. The meters selected should be rugged, and have easily readable faces and good mechanical damping. Use the highest quality meters available, as the nature of the meters' actions convey a great deal of information in most situations.
It is possible to use a normal meter movement for both sections without circuit modifications other than selecting the correct value for the series resistor. The value of the current limiting resistors in series with each meter must be selected so that full range deflection occurs one to two volts below the positive supply voltage.
If you prefer to use a LED or LCD bar graph type display, substantial circuit modifications will be needed to prevent false readings induced by power line frequencies. These have no effect on the mechanical meter movements in the circuit as presented. Several stages of active filtering may be needed.
Digital displays should not be used, as the trend of the meter reading is often important. This is an analog device in nature, and should remain so. If computerization is mandatory, a graphical display should be used.
Construction:
Assemble the circuit according the schematic diagram. Use proper component layout techniques to minimize stray capacitance. To minimize microphonics, use either "pad per hole" copper clad breadboard, or fabricate a printed circuit board. Pay close attention to grounding. As the circuit is quite simple, the board may be mounted directly to the connections on the rear of the meters, using the electrical connections as the mechanical mounting for the circuit board as well.
The Gradiometer MUST be built in a metal box to prevent the user's body capacitance from severely limiting the sensitivity and performance of the unit. All connections for the three sense antennae should use BNC or similar connectors.
By convention, the two meters are placed side by side, with the RF sniffer on the left, and the "Delta Es" or electrostatic meter on the right. The sensitivity control for the sniffer should be located on the left, under the meter or on the left hand side of the unit. The sensitivity and bias controls for the electrostatic meter circuit are placed under or beside the meter on the right hand side of the unit. The two electrostatic antennae connect on the top side of the enclosure.
The antennae themselves should be simple straight antennae. Telescoping sections may be used, so that the operator may control the field interaction area. The electrostatic antennae should be parallel, or slightly divergent. The RF sniffer antenna may take any reasonable form, but should not intrude between the electrostatic antennae.
To wind L1, select a small toroid core with high reactance at lower frequencies. Twist a foot or so of small diameter insulated wire, and then wind this twisted pair onto the core in the normal manner for a toroidal coil. Use two different colors of insulated wire, and make sure the correct connections and phasing are used.
If you cannot locate a 100 megohm resistor, use a small number of the largest value resistors available. This resistor provides a path to ground for excess charge deposited onto the collector antenna by electrostatic field interaction and greatly enhances the stability of the device. The exact value is not critical, but it should be as high as practical.
The "gimmick" is a short length of the same twisted pair as is used in L1. This forms a small value capacitor to stabilize the electrostatic meter amplifier. Start with five inches or so. This will be trimmed in the checkout and calibration section. Do not substitute a variable capacitor here, use the old fashioned "gimmick" from the old days of radio.
As always, verify that there are no wiring errors, check that all grounding points and connections are of good quality.
Checkout and Calibration:
With the unit fully assembled, and fresh batteries in place, verify by moving the bias control that the "Delta Es"`meter will move throughout its full range. If the meter will not deflect evenly in both directions, check that both batteries are in good condition and that the bias potentiometer is working correctly, and does not have any non-linearities or other problems.
Check that the sensitivity control also works well. If the electrostatic meter "pegs and sticks" easily, and cannot be brought back by changing the bias control alone, trim a few millimeters of the "gimmick" device, and repeat the testing. This must be dome by trial and error. Be comfortable with the operation of the device before each interaction of the trimming and testing process. If you have trimmed too far, tighten the twisted pair just a bit.
Verify that the RF sniffer section and its sensitivity control also work correctly. Use a radio source such as a small wireless mike or garage door opener for testing. The RF sniffer should be able to detect low powered RF signal sources at a good range, and CB transmitters many tens of yards away. Background electromagnetic radiation levels should be easily visible at the highest sensitivity settings. This value should be noted first in each field survey or measurement.
Note the effect of RF transmissions on both meters. There should be only a small electrostatic effect unless standing waves are present.
If you travel with the device, it may be wise to make allowances to alter the gain of the sniffer amplifier stage itself. Ambient RF levels vary over a wide range; make sure that this background level may be measured in "quiet" areas. At full sensitivity, there should always be a reading on this meter.
Local effects which produce a lowering of this background level and anomalous electrostatic effects deserve special attention, as do higher than usual EM signal areas, with and without electrostatic anomalies.
The combination of such EM nulls with electrostatic-effect anomalies, along with localized endothermic effects (such as cold spots, or high heat loss zones) confirms "exotic" phenomena.
If the device is built in a humid environment, allow the unit to stabilize in an air conditioned area before calibration of the gimmick. Seal the unit well and include a small packet of dessicant inside the unit, secured so that it will not move about. New England winters are ideal times for gradiometer calibration.
Theory of Operation:
The electrostatic section consists of a differential electrometer and an associated electrostatic field source designed to have high rejection of RF and ambient electromagnetic signals. The high gain configuration limits the frequency response to a few Hertz only.
The bias control presents a DC voltage to C3, and the electrostatic leakage through this capacitor charges the emitter antenna until C3 has reached equalibrium. RFC1 prevents ambient RF from entering the power supply. The two capacitors shown on the bias potentiometer should be physically on the bias control itself to minimize lead length.
L1 and its associated capacitors form a pi network RF filter. The bifilar winding of L1 helps common mode RF signal rejection, and enhances the electrostatic field interaction.
IC-1 forms a differential electrometer, and produces an output in proportion to the electrostatic differential between the antennae. This first stage is kept stable by the electrostatic "gimmick". The second stage of IC-1 forms a simple meter driver and integrator.
The RF sniffer is conventional in its operation. A simple detector drives an amplifier stage. The 1 megohm resistor from output to inverting input may be changed to alter the gain. If the ambient RF levels in your area are low, you may wish to raise the value of this resistor to increase the maximum sensitivity of the RF sniffer section.
Operation and Use:
Once you have completed and calibrated your gradiometer, spend some time familiarizing yourself with its operation and behavior. In a dry environment try moving different types of plastics around the antenna area and note the reaction. Try this with differing amounts and polarities of charge on the emitter element by adjusting the bias control and watching the meter.
Watch how fast the electrostatic meter reacts to changes in the bias control, note any differance, or preferance to one polatiry or the other. Watch the reaction of the meters as you move along the electorstatic gradients. Be aware that large concentrations of ions will also be detected.
Try placing insulators with large free electrostatic fields some distance from the unit, and move the unit around the bit of plastic. Repeat this with a conducting electrostatic shield near the plastic object, and note how the electrostatic "shield" effects the readings.
Once familiar with your gradiometer, take it out for a walk. Note how objects effect the electrostatic field locally, and note any patterns of interaction. Pay attention to areas with higher than ambient RF fields, as there may be electromagnetic standing waves present with associated electrostatic fields.
If possible, take your new gradiometer to a site with known "exotic" phenomena activity. You will find that the gradiometer is quite sensitive to a wide range of effects. If at times the gradiometer appears to be suffering from some form of external interference, not electromagnetic in nature, shut the unit off for a few minutes. Shorting the electrostatic antenna briefly may also help. Wait a few calm minutes, and then resume your measurements. If this becomes common in a specific location, check for the presence of any ionizing radiations.
This gradiometer design has been used sucessfully in measurements of neolithic sites. It detected faulty reconstruction at the site, as well as standing stones not shown on maps of the site, and the original locations of stones which had moved due to frost-thaw cycles. Measurements of anomalous electrostatic fields associated with quartz crystals which had been "charged" by shamantic processes have been made. Areas reported to have experienced paranormal phenomena, also verified by "sensitives", have been independently found and measured by gradiometer survey.
In more than one case, hidden objects were found by use of a gradiometer. The person who owned and hid the objects was present during the test, and as the operator moved closer to the hidden objects, the owner of the objects would experience some anxiety. Electrostatic anomalies would then be manifest around the objects, givng away their position. There was no way for the owner of the hidden objects to cue the gradiometer operator.
If in doubt, try it yourself. Objective experience expands the mind.
Objects that had been "protected" from detection by alleged psychic means were also easily detectable without the hider being present. This should be tested with lost objects as well!
I hope this starts a few lines of inquiry into any of the many apparently different types of reported exotic phenomena. The general utility of this device might suggest that these apparently different phenomena may actually all be quite closely related. This simple device allows us to open the door to a much larger world.

WARNING: IC1 IS EASILY DESTROYED BY 'STATIC'
This instrument can easily be wrecked by electrostatic voltages. If you build up static body potenitals on a dry day, then "zap" either of the antennas, you'll kill IC1. To greatly reduce this possibility, build the whole device into a metal case. That way the body of the person holding the instrument will not be able to deliver huge voltages to the antennas. Just avoid bumping the antennas against large metal objects and other people. And buy some extra op-amp chips so you have replacements for IC1 when it gets zapped.
TRY THIS QUICK AND DIRTY VERSION FIRST
To make yourself familiar with electrostatic field detectors, I suggest building the Ridiculously Simple Charge Detector from the kids' projects pages.
Bob Shannon's Gradiometer differs from this one-transistor FET detector in that it measures the strength of LOCAL FIELD DIRECTION of environmental voltage, rather than directly measuring the environmental voltages (relative to ground.) One large benefit is that the Gradiometer should mostly ignore the charge of the human being holding the device. For example, the simple charge detector goes crazy if you walk across a carpet with rubber-soled shoes. The gradiometer instead measures the difference in the voltage picked up by the two antennae, and unless the input is overloaded, this difference would not change enormously as you touch your shoes to the carpet.
CENTER-READING METER
If you can't find a +- meter, some kinds of 5mA meters can be modified to move the needle to the center position. If the usual adjusting screw won't go far enough, then remove the plastic cover plate and carefully turn the adjustment by hand. Then simply make a paper meter scale label and glue it in place.
TL082 OP AMP, VERSUS TL072
While it is always a bad idea to alter a "weird science" device, you might wish to try using TL072 op amps instead of the one used above. TL072 were sold in later years, and create less circuit noise than TL082. Try both, and if TL072 does not improve things, stick with the original parts list.
MIGHT DRIFT AND LOSE GAIN ON HUMID DAYS
Note that the whole circuit around pins 2 and 3 of IC1 is dealing with thousand-megohm resistances. For this reason, surface leakage of all components becomes significant, and the gain may go way down during high humidity. Provide an airtight enclosure for the instrument so the bag of silica gel dessicant won't fill up with water and stop working.
If you make a printed circuit board for the gradiometer, it might be best to NOT make any traces for the conductors attached to pins 2 and 3 of IC1, or the conductors attached to the two antennas. Instead, solder the terminals of these components directly to each other, so the wires are hanging in space and aren't touching the moist surface of the PCB. This includes the terminals of RFC1, T1, and one lead each of C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, and R2. You might even want to bend pins 2 and 3 of IC1 up into the air, and solder wires directly to them, rather than letting them touch the conductive plastic of a proto board or an IC socket. It might even be wise to paint the plastic case of IC1 with red GLPT high-voltage paint (corona dope), to limit the surface leakage across the IC1 plastic package, ESPECIALLY any surface leakage between the -9v on pin 4 and the adjacent pin 3. If humidity is high and meter M1 seems to constantly drift negative, it probably is caused by surface leakage between pin 4 and 3 of IC1.
T1 BIFILAR CHOKE
T1 and the four surrounding capacitors appear to form a "common mode" filter which rejects high frequency (such as radio signals and the continuing electrical noise from nearby power lines caused by light dimmers and motor brush sparks.) Any small toroid core should work, although a larger core would give larger inductance and better filtering.
"GIMMICK" TWISTED PAIR
The "gimmick" probably functions as a resistor. Note that the first section of IC-1 is wired as a conventional op-amp differential amplifier, but it lacks a feedback resistor. If we wanted to make it be a high-gain DC amp, we'd need a 10,000 megohm resistor across pins 1 and 2, in order to form a 100x divider network with the 100 megohm resistor R2. The tiny conductance of the plastic of the twisted-pair 'gimmick' (as well as the conductance of surface leakage across that plastic) probably forms an ultra-high-value resistor. The capacitance of the 'gimmick' probably forms a capacitive divider with C7, which prevents overload by signals at frequencies too high for the meter needle to respond.
Note that there is no resistor anywhere connected to pin 3 of IC1. Pin 3 is electrically "floating," except for the ultra-high resistance of capaictors C3, C4, and C5. These capacitors probably provide an invisible voltage divider (just assume they act as resistors with values much higher than 1000 megohms.) If these capacitors were perfect insulators, the output of the op amp would drift all over the place and would not respond to the R1 "bias" control. If your meter DOES drift uncontrollably, try swapping out C3 with other types of .001uF capacitor until you find one with the right kind of internal leakage. Or, if you can locate a 10,000Megohm resistor, wire it across C3.

C. Ford mentioned one problem with battery power: meter drift is caused by the way the R1 "bias" pot is connected. Since the gain of the electrostatic section is probably over 100x, then whenever the voltage of the 9v batteries drift, the meter needle will wander rapidly. To stop this, rather than feeding +-9v to the legs of R1, we should feed them regulated power. To make a simple 6.2v voltage regulator, connect a 6.2v zener across the load being regulated, then put a resistor in series with the incoming supply. On the above schematic, we'd connect a 100K resistor in series with each leg of pot R1, then use two 6.2v zener diodes (number 1N4735A), connecting each zener to ground and to one leg of R1, with diode polarity chosen for correct operation.
LOL! Brainstorm!
If we aren't dead certain about how this device really works, maybe we shouldn't change it. What if the most interesting readings are ACTUALLY USING THE 9V BATTERIES AS AN ANTENNA?!! If some "weird physics" signals are slightly altering the output voltage of the 9v batteries, then this device is actually a "differential detector" where simultaneous changes of battery voltages are ignored, but if one battery voltage goes up while the other goes down, the meter needle strongly responds. :) Don't forget, the voltage of a battery comes right from quantum mechanics; right from the microscopic layer of aligned electrolyte molecules which coats the battery electrodes. In that case, we could get rid of the antennas, and instead improve the sensitivity by putting each 9v battery on the end of a long rod!
If anyone here has already built this device, try adding zeners to make regulated +-6volts, then add a DPDT switch that lets you connect R1 either directly to the batteries, or to regulated 6V. Then, when using the device, see if the voltage regulation makes it behave better. Or see if the voltage regulation REMOVES the interesting signals.

The bias control presents a DC voltage to C3, and the electrostatic leakage through this capacitor charges the emitter antenna until C3 has reached equalibrium. RFC1 prevents ambient RF from entering the power supply. The two capacitors shown on the bias potentiometer should be physically on the bias control itself to minimize lead length.
L1 and its associated capacitors form a pi network RF filter. The bifilar winding of L1 helps common mode RF signal rejection, and enhances the electrostatic field interaction.
IC-1 forms a differential electrometer, and produces an output in proportion to the electrostatic differential between the antennae. This first stage is kept stable by the electrostatic "gimmick". The second stage of IC-1 forms a simple meter driver and integrator.
The RF sniffer is conventional in its operation. A simple detector drives an amplifier stage. The 1 megohm resistor from output to inverting input may be changed to alter the gain. If the ambient RF levels in your area are low, you may wish to raise the value of this resistor to increase the maximum sensitivity of the RF sniffer section.
Operation and Use:
Once you have completed and calibrated your gradiometer, spend some time familiarizing yourself with its operation and behavior. In a dry environment try moving different types of plastics around the antenna area and note the reaction. Try this with differing amounts and polarities of charge on the emitter element by adjusting the bias control and watching the meter.
Watch how fast the electrostatic meter reacts to changes in the bias control, note any differance, or preferance to one polatiry or the other. Watch the reaction of the meters as you move along the electorstatic gradients. Be aware that large concentrations of ions will also be detected.
Try placing insulators with large free electrostatic fields some distance from the unit, and move the unit around the bit of plastic. Repeat this with a conducting electrostatic shield near the plastic object, and note how the electrostatic "shield" effects the readings.
Once familiar with your gradiometer, take it out for a walk. Note how objects effect the electrostatic field locally, and note any patterns of interaction. Pay attention to areas with higher than ambient RF fields, as there may be electromagnetic standing waves present with associated electrostatic fields.
If possible, take your new gradiometer to a site with known "exotic" phenomena activity. You will find that the gradiometer is quite sensitive to a wide range of effects. If at times the gradiometer appears to be suffering from some form of external interference, not electromagnetic in nature, shut the unit off for a few minutes. Shorting the electrostatic antenna briefly may also help. Wait a few calm minutes, and then resume your measurements. If this becomes common in a specific location, check for the presence of any ionizing radiations.
This gradiometer design has been used sucessfully in measurements of neolithic sites. It detected faulty reconstruction at the site, as well as standing stones not shown on maps of the site, and the original locations of stones which had moved due to frost-thaw cycles. Measurements of anomalous electrostatic fields associated with quartz crystals which had been "charged" by shamantic processes have been made. Areas reported to have experienced paranormal phenomena, also verified by "sensitives", have been independently found and measured by gradiometer survey.
In more than one case, hidden objects were found by use of a gradiometer. The person who owned and hid the objects was present during the test, and as the operator moved closer to the hidden objects, the owner of the objects would experience some anxiety. Electrostatic anomalies would then be manifest around the objects, givng away their position. There was no way for the owner of the hidden objects to cue the gradiometer operator.
If in doubt, try it yourself. Objective experience expands the mind.
Objects that had been "protected" from detection by alleged psychic means were also easily detectable without the hider being present. This should be tested with lost objects as well!
I hope this starts a few lines of inquiry into any of the many apparently different types of reported exotic phenomena. The general utility of this device might suggest that these apparently different phenomena may actually all be quite closely related. This simple device allows us to open the door to a much larger world.

WARNING: IC1 IS EASILY DESTROYED BY 'STATIC'
This instrument can easily be wrecked by electrostatic voltages. If you build up static body potenitals on a dry day, then "zap" either of the antennas, you'll kill IC1. To greatly reduce this possibility, build the whole device into a metal case. That way the body of the person holding the instrument will not be able to deliver huge voltages to the antennas. Just avoid bumping the antennas against large metal objects and other people. And buy some extra op-amp chips so you have replacements for IC1 when it gets zapped.
TRY THIS QUICK AND DIRTY VERSION FIRST
To make yourself familiar with electrostatic field detectors, I suggest building the Ridiculously Simple Charge Detector from the kids' projects pages.
Bob Shannon's Gradiometer differs from this one-transistor FET detector in that it measures the strength of LOCAL FIELD DIRECTION of environmental voltage, rather than directly measuring the environmental voltages (relative to ground.) One large benefit is that the Gradiometer should mostly ignore the charge of the human being holding the device. For example, the simple charge detector goes crazy if you walk across a carpet with rubber-soled shoes. The gradiometer instead measures the difference in the voltage picked up by the two antennae, and unless the input is overloaded, this difference would not change enormously as you touch your shoes to the carpet.
CENTER-READING METER
If you can't find a +- meter, some kinds of 5mA meters can be modified to move the needle to the center position. If the usual adjusting screw won't go far enough, then remove the plastic cover plate and carefully turn the adjustment by hand. Then simply make a paper meter scale label and glue it in place.
TL082 OP AMP, VERSUS TL072
While it is always a bad idea to alter a "weird science" device, you might wish to try using TL072 op amps instead of the one used above. TL072 were sold in later years, and create less circuit noise than TL082. Try both, and if TL072 does not improve things, stick with the original parts list.
MIGHT DRIFT AND LOSE GAIN ON HUMID DAYS
Note that the whole circuit around pins 2 and 3 of IC1 is dealing with thousand-megohm resistances. For this reason, surface leakage of all components becomes significant, and the gain may go way down during high humidity. Provide an airtight enclosure for the instrument so the bag of silica gel dessicant won't fill up with water and stop working.
If you make a printed circuit board for the gradiometer, it might be best to NOT make any traces for the conductors attached to pins 2 and 3 of IC1, or the conductors attached to the two antennas. Instead, solder the terminals of these components directly to each other, so the wires are hanging in space and aren't touching the moist surface of the PCB. This includes the terminals of RFC1, T1, and one lead each of C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, and R2. You might even want to bend pins 2 and 3 of IC1 up into the air, and solder wires directly to them, rather than letting them touch the conductive plastic of a proto board or an IC socket. It might even be wise to paint the plastic case of IC1 with red GLPT high-voltage paint (corona dope), to limit the surface leakage across the IC1 plastic package, ESPECIALLY any surface leakage between the -9v on pin 4 and the adjacent pin 3. If humidity is high and meter M1 seems to constantly drift negative, it probably is caused by surface leakage between pin 4 and 3 of IC1.
T1 BIFILAR CHOKE
T1 and the four surrounding capacitors appear to form a "common mode" filter which rejects high frequency (such as radio signals and the continuing electrical noise from nearby power lines caused by light dimmers and motor brush sparks.) Any small toroid core should work, although a larger core would give larger inductance and better filtering.
"GIMMICK" TWISTED PAIR
The "gimmick" probably functions as a resistor. Note that the first section of IC-1 is wired as a conventional op-amp differential amplifier, but it lacks a feedback resistor. If we wanted to make it be a high-gain DC amp, we'd need a 10,000 megohm resistor across pins 1 and 2, in order to form a 100x divider network with the 100 megohm resistor R2. The tiny conductance of the plastic of the twisted-pair 'gimmick' (as well as the conductance of surface leakage across that plastic) probably forms an ultra-high-value resistor. The capacitance of the 'gimmick' probably forms a capacitive divider with C7, which prevents overload by signals at frequencies too high for the meter needle to respond.
Note that there is no resistor anywhere connected to pin 3 of IC1. Pin 3 is electrically "floating," except for the ultra-high resistance of capaictors C3, C4, and C5. These capacitors probably provide an invisible voltage divider (just assume they act as resistors with values much higher than 1000 megohms.) If these capacitors were perfect insulators, the output of the op amp would drift all over the place and would not respond to the R1 "bias" control. If your meter DOES drift uncontrollably, try swapping out C3 with other types of .001uF capacitor until you find one with the right kind of internal leakage. Or, if you can locate a 10,000Megohm resistor, wire it across C3.

C. Ford mentioned one problem with battery power: meter drift is caused by the way the R1 "bias" pot is connected. Since the gain of the electrostatic section is probably over 100x, then whenever the voltage of the 9v batteries drift, the meter needle will wander rapidly. To stop this, rather than feeding +-9v to the legs of R1, we should feed them regulated power. To make a simple 6.2v voltage regulator, connect a 6.2v zener across the load being regulated, then put a resistor in series with the incoming supply. On the above schematic, we'd connect a 100K resistor in series with each leg of pot R1, then use two 6.2v zener diodes (number 1N4735A), connecting each zener to ground and to one leg of R1, with diode polarity chosen for correct operation.
LOL! Brainstorm!
If we aren't dead certain about how this device really works, maybe we shouldn't change it. What if the most interesting readings are ACTUALLY USING THE 9V BATTERIES AS AN ANTENNA?!! If some "weird physics" signals are slightly altering the output voltage of the 9v batteries, then this device is actually a "differential detector" where simultaneous changes of battery voltages are ignored, but if one battery voltage goes up while the other goes down, the meter needle strongly responds. :) Don't forget, the voltage of a battery comes right from quantum mechanics; right from the microscopic layer of aligned electrolyte molecules which coats the battery electrodes. In that case, we could get rid of the antennas, and instead improve the sensitivity by putting each 9v battery on the end of a long rod!
If anyone here has already built this device, try adding zeners to make regulated +-6volts, then add a DPDT switch that lets you connect R1 either directly to the batteries, or to regulated 6V. Then, when using the device, see if the voltage regulation makes it behave better. Or see if the voltage regulation REMOVES the interesting signals.

This simple circuit can detect the invisible fields of voltage which surround all electrified objects. It acts as an electronic "electroscope."
Regular foil-leaf electroscopes deal with electrostatic potentials in the range of many hundreds or thousands of volts. The above device can detect one volt. Its sensitivity is ridiculously high. Since "static electricity" in our environment is actually a matter of high voltage, this device can sense those high-voltage electrically charged objects at a great distance. On a low-humidity day and with a 1/2 meter antenna wire, its little LED-light will respond strongly when someone combs their hair at a distance of five meters or more. If a metal object is lifted up upon a non-conductive support and touched against the sensor wire, the sensor can detect whether that object has an electrostatic potential of as little as one volt!
Note: I use the term "electrification" rather than "charging", in order to avoid confusion between electric charge and net-charge. "Charge" is the stuff on the negative electrons and positive protons, while "net-charge" is the imbalance between positive and negative particles which appears on everyday objects. A avoid saying that everyday objects become electrically charged. After all, their atoms are always full of charges. Instead they become "electrified" whenever their pre-existing + and - charges are not equal.

"Spin Doctors": A New Paradigm Theorizing the Mechanism of Bioenergy Healing

Abstract: This article outlines various studies which have shown a change in the measured gamma radiation near bioenergy healers. Contained herein is a theoretical explanation for these findings based upon an expansion of current concepts in physics and biology.

I. Introduction
Certain alternative healing therapies are theorized as being bioenergetic modalities which utilize the "élan vital" or vital energy. Proponents of these techniques have claimed this previously unrecognized force infuses organisms with life sustaining energies and/or balances existing energies resulting in improved health. This long-standing and widespread belief in the existence of an etheric healing force, called "prana" by the Hindus, "chi" by the Chinese, and "ki" by the Japanese, is the source most often associated with the "soul, spirit, and mind." In fact, there are references made to human energy fields or the aura of the body in 97 different cultures, according to John White in his book "Future Science."1
Equally mystifying and unexplainable are the plethora of parapsychological phenomena often referred to as extrasensory perception, precognition, remote viewing, etc. that have evaded scientific description. Modern scientists have repeatedly sought evidence for the substance of spirit. After Newton published his laws of mechanics, optics, and gravity, he spent many years looking for the living force via the use of alchemy. In the late nineteenth century, prominent physicists, William Crookes and Oliver Lodge, searched for what they called the "psychic force." Their premise was that a connection existed between the spiritual, aetheric forces and the recently discovered electromagnetic waves. By 1905, electromagnetic signals were recognized as being carried by light packets, or photons, but were not scientifically connected to healing energies.2
Numerous other scientists have also searched for and attempted to name this elusive aether. An abbreviated list would include "pseudo magnetism"; "fifth force"; "empty waves"; a significant part of Tesla phenomenology; "radiation energy" by H. Moray; "tachyon fields" by Fienberg; "free energy" by Kelly; Nieper’s "gravitation field energy"; "space energy" by Schaffranke and Harris; "unified field" by Mahareshi-Jagelin; "emptiness energy" by Reichenbach; "vital magnetism" by Messmer; "bio-cosmic energy" by Hieronymus; "Mumia" by Paracelsus; "X-force" by Eemen; "N-radiation" by Biondio; "ponderomatoric forces" by Myshin; "radiation energy" by Abrams; "O-radiation or Orgonne" by Reich; "M-field" (morphogenic field) by Schaldrein and B. Haeim. A common physical reality behind the diverse phenomenology was postulated by many researchers, in particular, in a more complete form be D.A. Kelly in 1986 and Antwort Schema in 1989.3
Throughout the 20th Century, proponents of "élan vital" and bioenergy medicine have been unable to provide definitive evidence of an electromagnetic connection between alternative healing therapies and living organisms let alone offer a scientifically-testable theory of its existence. This has left the field open to staunch criticism from medical professionals and scientists who overtly dismiss any possible healing effects from an "imaginery" aether. However, recent research may document the existence of healing energy and, further, describe a new paradigm for bioenergy healing which includes a plausible mechanism of action.
II. Bioenergy Healers and Gamma Radiation
Recently replicated studies by Benford et al. identified statistically significant decreases in extremely high-frequency electromagnetic fields, termed gamma rays, during alternative healing sessions with a trained practitioner and multiple subjects.4 During these experiments, external gamma radiation counts were recorded to obtain: (1) background control values, (2) resting control values (subjects in supine position), (3) no treatment baseline control values (with a person standing along side the subjects), and (4) treatment values (with therapist's hands gently placed on the subjects). During the initial preliminary tests, total counts were recorded in 100-second trials separately over the crown, heart, abdomen and pelvic regions using a NaI(TI) crystal scintillator that detected gamma radiation from approximately 100 KeV to 3 MeV. Later tests involved 300-second counts over the heart, abdomen, right lateral side of the subject.
Early results demonstrated that gamma radiation levels markedly decreased during therapy sessions of 100% of subjects and at every body site tested regardless of which therapist performed the treatment. In many instances, the gamma counts fluctuated by thousands which represented a 3 – 6% difference in gross gamma count between the untrained control practitioners and trained healing energy practitioners within the short time periods analyzed. T-tests were used to determine that there was a significant statistical significance with p-values between 0.035 and <0.0001 in the 100-second trials, and p-values less than 0.0001 in the 300-second trials.
Later tests, whereby the therapists and controls were moved three feet away from the detector and seated at the subject’s head, demonstrated that significant drops occurred in female subjects interacting with trained therapists but not in males. In fact, two males demonstrated "emissions" of gamma rays during the therapy sessions. This may be due, in part, to variations in lean body mass which contains the body’s primary gamma emitter, Potassium-40 (K40). This has also been hypothesized to represent a "self-regulation" of energy within the body and the surrounding electromagnetic field.4,5
The consistent results from these controlled experiments may result, in part, from the increased electromagnetic fields surrounding the hands of healers. Dr. John Zimmerman discovered large frequency-pulsing biomagnetic fields emanating from hands of therapeutic touch practitioners during therapy as measured by an extremely sensitive magnetometer called a SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device).6 Similar frequency-pulsing biomagnetic fields were later measured and quantified from the hands of meditators and practitioners of yoga and QiGong using a simple magnetometer. These fields were 1000 times greater than the strongest human biomagnetic field7 and were found to be in the same frequency range as those being tested in medical research laboratories for use in speeding the healing process of certain biological tissues.3,8 This range is low energy and extremely low frequency and spans from 2 Hz to 50 Hz.8 However, still missing from this research is a mechanism of action that can explain the connection between electromagnetic field increases and observed healing benefits reported in the current therapy literature.
III. Adding "spin" to the healing equation.
Recently released Russian research posits an approach for describing many, if not all, the biopositive and parapsychological phenomena related to bioenergy healing and conscious intention. This research has postulated and tested the existence of "torsion fields." Russian scientist Akimov and his team consider the quantum vacuum as a universal torsion wave carrying medium. The torsion field is said to fill all of space isotropically, including its matter component. It has a quantal structure that is unobservable in non-disturbed states. However, violations of vacuum symmetry and invariance create different, and in principle observable, states. These theorized "violations" and "invariances" may be what the energy practitioners are creating, which induces changes in the gamma radiation previously described.
The torsion field theory takes a modified form of the original electron-positron model of the Dirac sea: the vacuum's energy field is viewed as a system of rotating wave packets of electrons and positrons (rather than a sea of electron-positron pairs). Where the wave packets are mutually embedded, the field is electrically neutral. If the spins of the embedded packets have the opposite sign, the system is compensated not only in charge, but also in classical spin and magnetic moment. "The concept of quantums as electron-positron pairs was used by M. Broido independently of G. Bjorken. Simultaneously, Ya. Zeldovich demonstrated that presence of an electromagnetic field in Vacuum* (quantum vacuum) results in generation of electron-positron pairs, thus producing non-zero vacuum energy regarded as field energy. The relation between electromagnetism and Vacuum fluctuation was also noted by L. Rivlin."3 Such a system is said to create a "phyton" of which a dense ensemble of phytons are said to approximate a simplified model of the Vacuum field.
When the phytons are spin-compensated, their orientation within the ensemble is arbitrary. But when a charge q is the source of disturbance, the action produces a charge polarization of the Vacuum, as prescribed by quantum electrodynamics. When a mass m is the source of disturbance, the phytons produce symmetrical oscillations along the axis given by the direction of the disturbance. The Vacuum then enters a state characterized by the oscillation of the phytons along their longitudinal spin-polarization; this is interpreted as a gravitational field (G- field). The gravitational field is thus the result of Vacuum decompensation arising at its point of polarization, which is an idea that was originally introduced by the well-known Russian scientist, Sakharov.
Akimov et al.3 go further by following a thesis advanced by physicist Roger Penrose,9 that phytons represent the Vacuum equations in the spinor form and thereby obtain a system of nonlinear spinor equations where two component spinors represent the potential of torsion fields. These equations can describe charged as well as neutral quantum and classical particles. They thus allow that the Vacuum field is disturbed not only by charge and mass, but also by classical spin. In that event the phytons oriented in the same direction as the spin of the disturbance keep their orientation. Those opposite to the spin of the source undergo inversion; then the local region of the Vacuum transits into a state of transverse spin polarization. This gives the "spin field" (S- field), viewed as a condensate of Fermion pairs.
The dynamic interaction of positive and negative particles, with their resident charge, mass and spin characteristics, defines matter as we see it as well as the underlying forces. Intentional distortion of the zero-point field (ZPF), or Vacuum, subsequently modifies these parameters. If the substance is unbalanced and in a state of disequilibrium, then the bioenergy of the healer's interaction with the ZPF will serve to balance the energy scales and return the substance to equilibrium.
In keeping with this theory, Akimov et al.3 view the Vacuum as a physical medium that can assume various polarization states. Given charge polarization, the Vacuum is manifested as the electromagnetic field. Given matter polarization, it is manifested as the gravitational field. And given spin polarization, the Vacuum manifests as a spin field. All fundamental fields known to physics correspond to specific Vacuum polarization states.
IV. Characteristics of the torsion field
G.I. Shipov showed that besides the two known long-range physical fields, electromagnetic and gravitational, there exists a third long-range field: the torsion field. The torsion field is an extremely unusual entity. First of all, the theoretical upper limit for the speed of torsion waves is estimated to be not less than 109 c, where c is the speed of light in a Vacuum. Second, torsion fields may be able to propagate in a region of space which is not limited by the light cone. That means that torsion fields are able to propagate not only in the future but in the past as well. Third, torsion fields may transmit information without transmitting energy. Fourth, torsion fields are not required to follow the superposition principle.10
Torsion fields are generated by spin (considering classical spin) or by angular momentum. There exist both right and left torsion fields (depending on the spin orientation). As the location of the atoms within a molecule and their spin orientation is due to their underlying physical characteristics, the superposition of torsion fields generated by the atomic and nuclear spins of each molecule determines the intensity of torsion field in the space surrounding the molecule as a whole. While an amorphous or nonaligned substance would therefore not have such an aggregate effect, a substance with aligned molecules (i.e. crystal) would have an aggregate effect in terms of its torsion field. The superposition of all these torsion fields determines the intensity and spatial configuration of the characteristic torsion field of that substance. Thus, each substance possesses its own characteristic torsion field.
The property which is open to influence by torsion fields is spin. The structure of the torsion field of every object can be changed by the influence of an external torsion field. As a result of such an influence, the new configuration of the torsion field will be fixed as a metastable state (as a polarized state) and will remain intact even after the source of the external torsion field is moved to another area of space. Thus torsion fields of certain spatial configuration can be "recorded" on any physical or biological object.
The following fundamentally important fact should be emphasized. In the framework of the theory of electro-torsion interactions, it is shown that if electrostatic or electromagnetic fields exist in some region of space, then there always exists torsion fields in that region of space. Electrostatic or electromagnetic fields without a torsion component do not exist. On the strict level this is shown by G.I. Shipov.11 Strong torsion fields are generated by high electrical potentials and by devices with organized circular or spiral electromagnetic processes.
According to Panov et al.,11 "Gravitation and torsion fields manifest themselves as they are; whereas, electromagnetic fields always contain a torsion component and this is an essential fact. Torsion fields will appear in both electrostatic and electromagnetic radiation. Inability to understand this has often been the cause of fruitless attempts to explain many of the phenomena related to sources of electromagnetic radiation in terms of purely electromagnetic phenomena."11
It is further supportive of the theory linking the gamma radiation fluctuations observed during healing energy therapy sessions and torsion fields when one considers how torsion fields are monitored. "An alternative procedure for detecting and estimating torsion field has been proposed recently, consisting in measurement of natural radioactive background with some kind of ionizing radiation sensor. Placing a pulse counting device (Geiger or solid-state scintillation counter) in the area exposed to torsion field one can obtain a corresponding estimate of the field. Sensitivity of ionizing radiation sensors is several orders of magnitude higher than that of quartz ones, but the latter are more stable as compared to sensors of all other types."11 Thus, what has been observed in repeated experimental tests monitoring gamma count fluctuations during alternative healing sessions may be directly related to torsion fields.
V. Torsion fields, radiation hormesis, and bioenergy therapy
The theory linking biopositive physiological effects of bioenergy therapies with radiation hormesis has been well described.4,5 Radiation hormesis is the concept of using small doses of ionizing radiation in a manner which has a beneficial affect on the body. In summary, whole body exposures of mammals to low-dose irradiation (doses <10 cGy/y; <10 rad/y) has been found to stimulate major physiologic parameters including reproduction, growth, muscular development, mental acuity, cell repair systems (DNA, RNA, membranes and shock proteins), and immune competence.12,13,14
Similar biopositive effects have been noted following bioenergy healing therapies including reduced anxiety in hospitalized cardiovascular patients,15 chemotherapy oncology patients,16 and premature neonates.17 Other research has shown bioenergy therapies reduce tension headache pain17 and dramatically increase the rate of healing of dermal punch wounds.18 One pilot study demonstrated a decrease in the concentration of suppressor T-cells implying an increased immune response.19 A separate study showed significant changes in hemoglobin and hematocrit values after treatment.20
Work by renowned Chinese scientist Dr. Shu-Zheng Liu of the MH Radiobiology Research Unit of Norman Bethune University demonstrates that in both human populations and animal studies low-dose radiation (LDR) stimulates the immunological responses.21 The up-regulation of immunity following LDR involves a series of cellular and molecular reactions as well as their systemic regulation. The results obtained by Lui and many others have compelled researchers to conclude that whole-body irradiation (WBI) with X- and gamma-rays in the dose range within 0.2 Gy has definite positive effect on the immune system which can be considered as beneficial to the organism.22
Similar types of improved immune responses have been reported by the Russian scientists with the use of generated torsion fields. "In a laboratory of radiobiology of Perm University we have investigated the effect of static torsion field on mice. . . The experiments have shown that torsion field has immune-stimulating effect showing itself in the activation of both cellular and humoral parts of the immune system. Being 53.3% for the control mice, the content of rosette forming cells was a high as 71.0% (p<.001) for the mice subjected to the action of torsion radiation. Appreciable differences in the response of the humoral part of the immune system for the unexposed and exposed mice were also detected: the titer of antibodies being 8.33 for the former and 11.70 for the latter."11
VI. Interacting with the Vacuum
It is therefore postulated here that bioenergy healers are creating permutations in the Vacuum or zero-point field (ZPF) via torsion fields, which, in turn, change the characteristics of the source mass m (see Figure 1). For this discussion, the Vacuum/ZPF is being defined as "the locus of a vast energy field that is neither classically electromagnetic nor gravitational, nor yet nuclear in nature. Instead, it is the originating source of the known electromagnetic, gravitational, and nuclear forces and fields. It is the originating source of matter itself."

This spin compensation, posited to be induced by heightened electromagnetic fields surrounding the hands of bioenergy healers (charge q), alters the torsion field and creates new annihilation/energy opportunities for the source.
Furthermore, preliminary data collected to test this theory demonstrate a "Rubberband Effect" resulting from the healer’s intervention with matter-based substances and their fields. To explain the effect, one can use the example of an unstretched rubberband of a certain length (say 2"):

In a recent gravity-shielding experiment involving lentil beans, the rest mass (pre-therapy) was 37.545 gms. When the bioenergy healers energized it in a direction such that it reached a peak by decreasing in mass by about 0.1 gm (this was replicated in a second energizing session). This "stretched" the mass of the beans such that when the energy dissipated overnight it did not return to its normal rest mass (37.545) but over compensated by a full gram.
Likewise, a replication of the test involving the same healers under more stringently controlled conditions, e.g., test mass enclosed behind glass windows, resulted in the same rubberband effect only in reverse. The test mass initially got heavier but subsequently rebounded to a lighter than pre-test weight. Several attempts to replicate these results by non-therapists demonstrated that the test mass could uniformly be made heavier; however, the rebound effect only returned the mass to its pre-test level and not beyond.
A second series of preliminary experiments with bioenergy healers demonstrated a similar rubberband effect. In a radioactive decay rate study, which tested the ability of the healers to alter the constant gamma decay rate of Cs-137, the results indicated that the Cs-137 peak increased at some point during the therapy session but, post-therapy, plummeted to a level below the pre-test average (testing is still underway with additional healers and controls).
Russian researchers have theorized that torsion fields may have both an elastic effect and a residual effect: both noticed in the previously described experiments with bioenergy healers. "The opinion that the Vacuum behaves as a super-fluid is commonly accepted. There are also researchers who believe that Physical Vacuum behaves as an elastic solid, precisely as aether was regarded at the times of I. Newton.. . Another feature of torsion fields must be mentioned. Just as a magnet produces residual magnetization in a ferro-magnet, the torsion source creates ‘residual’ polarization through acting upon the classical spin both at the levels of substance and the Physical Vacuum."3
VII. Gamma radiation, torsion fields, and psi-phenomena
Thus far it has been demonstrated and postulated that there is a connection between bioenergy healers, gamma radiation, and torsion fields. Is there also a possible link to the unexplained psi-phenomona that have perplexed scientists and theologians for centuries? According to the Russian pioneers in torsion field research, just as in electricity, the elementary particle charges are the primary source of field where the elementary particle spins are the primary sources of torsion field. However, gamma photons have also been identified as primary sources of torsion field.3 Furthermore, it has been stated and verified that the electromagnetic field can generate the torsion one. Thus, it stands to reason, that healers who can consciously increase the electromagnetic field surrounding their hands and, likewise, cause significant fluctuations in external gamma radiation around a subject’s body, are also creating permutations in the torsion field and, subsequently, the Vacuum itself.
VIII. Conclusion
This new paradigm describing the "Spin Doctor," advances our scientific understanding of bioenergy healing modalities by analyzing studies and data in order to develop a theory that takes into account our current understanding of physics and expands upon it. Too often data which does not fit our current understanding is ignored rather than trying to develop a theory which can explain the previous data as well as the new.
As a result of this new paradigm, we can now begin to understand, and thus demystify, the origins and actions of the "imaginary" aether of healing energies. This new model takes into account the well-known, and documented, beneficial effects of low-dose radiation as a potential mechanism in bioenergy healing. Furthermore, the acceptance and appreciation of torsion fields, with their influencable spin characteristics both in defining and refining matter, opens a new perspective of scientific exploration into psi-phenomena. Possibly, we can conclude that life, and even mind, may be a manifestation of the constant, albeit subtle, interaction of the wave packets classically known as "matter" with the underlying physically real Vacuum field.

I. Introduction
Certain alternative healing therapies are theorized as being bioenergetic modalities which utilize the "élan vital" or vital energy. Proponents of these techniques have claimed this previously unrecognized force infuses organisms with life sustaining energies and/or balances existing energies resulting in improved health. This long-standing and widespread belief in the existence of an etheric healing force, called "prana" by the Hindus, "chi" by the Chinese, and "ki" by the Japanese, is the source most often associated with the "soul, spirit, and mind." In fact, there are references made to human energy fields or the aura of the body in 97 different cultures, according to John White in his book "Future Science."1
Equally mystifying and unexplainable are the plethora of parapsychological phenomena often referred to as extrasensory perception, precognition, remote viewing, etc. that have evaded scientific description. Modern scientists have repeatedly sought evidence for the substance of spirit. After Newton published his laws of mechanics, optics, and gravity, he spent many years looking for the living force via the use of alchemy. In the late nineteenth century, prominent physicists, William Crookes and Oliver Lodge, searched for what they called the "psychic force." Their premise was that a connection existed between the spiritual, aetheric forces and the recently discovered electromagnetic waves. By 1905, electromagnetic signals were recognized as being carried by light packets, or photons, but were not scientifically connected to healing energies.2
Numerous other scientists have also searched for and attempted to name this elusive aether. An abbreviated list would include "pseudo magnetism"; "fifth force"; "empty waves"; a significant part of Tesla phenomenology; "radiation energy" by H. Moray; "tachyon fields" by Fienberg; "free energy" by Kelly; Nieper’s "gravitation field energy"; "space energy" by Schaffranke and Harris; "unified field" by Mahareshi-Jagelin; "emptiness energy" by Reichenbach; "vital magnetism" by Messmer; "bio-cosmic energy" by Hieronymus; "Mumia" by Paracelsus; "X-force" by Eemen; "N-radiation" by Biondio; "ponderomatoric forces" by Myshin; "radiation energy" by Abrams; "O-radiation or Orgonne" by Reich; "M-field" (morphogenic field) by Schaldrein and B. Haeim. A common physical reality behind the diverse phenomenology was postulated by many researchers, in particular, in a more complete form be D.A. Kelly in 1986 and Antwort Schema in 1989.3
Throughout the 20th Century, proponents of "élan vital" and bioenergy medicine have been unable to provide definitive evidence of an electromagnetic connection between alternative healing therapies and living organisms let alone offer a scientifically-testable theory of its existence. This has left the field open to staunch criticism from medical professionals and scientists who overtly dismiss any possible healing effects from an "imaginery" aether. However, recent research may document the existence of healing energy and, further, describe a new paradigm for bioenergy healing which includes a plausible mechanism of action.
II. Bioenergy Healers and Gamma Radiation
Recently replicated studies by Benford et al. identified statistically significant decreases in extremely high-frequency electromagnetic fields, termed gamma rays, during alternative healing sessions with a trained practitioner and multiple subjects.4 During these experiments, external gamma radiation counts were recorded to obtain: (1) background control values, (2) resting control values (subjects in supine position), (3) no treatment baseline control values (with a person standing along side the subjects), and (4) treatment values (with therapist's hands gently placed on the subjects). During the initial preliminary tests, total counts were recorded in 100-second trials separately over the crown, heart, abdomen and pelvic regions using a NaI(TI) crystal scintillator that detected gamma radiation from approximately 100 KeV to 3 MeV. Later tests involved 300-second counts over the heart, abdomen, right lateral side of the subject.
Early results demonstrated that gamma radiation levels markedly decreased during therapy sessions of 100% of subjects and at every body site tested regardless of which therapist performed the treatment. In many instances, the gamma counts fluctuated by thousands which represented a 3 – 6% difference in gross gamma count between the untrained control practitioners and trained healing energy practitioners within the short time periods analyzed. T-tests were used to determine that there was a significant statistical significance with p-values between 0.035 and <0.0001 in the 100-second trials, and p-values less than 0.0001 in the 300-second trials.
Later tests, whereby the therapists and controls were moved three feet away from the detector and seated at the subject’s head, demonstrated that significant drops occurred in female subjects interacting with trained therapists but not in males. In fact, two males demonstrated "emissions" of gamma rays during the therapy sessions. This may be due, in part, to variations in lean body mass which contains the body’s primary gamma emitter, Potassium-40 (K40). This has also been hypothesized to represent a "self-regulation" of energy within the body and the surrounding electromagnetic field.4,5
The consistent results from these controlled experiments may result, in part, from the increased electromagnetic fields surrounding the hands of healers. Dr. John Zimmerman discovered large frequency-pulsing biomagnetic fields emanating from hands of therapeutic touch practitioners during therapy as measured by an extremely sensitive magnetometer called a SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device).6 Similar frequency-pulsing biomagnetic fields were later measured and quantified from the hands of meditators and practitioners of yoga and QiGong using a simple magnetometer. These fields were 1000 times greater than the strongest human biomagnetic field7 and were found to be in the same frequency range as those being tested in medical research laboratories for use in speeding the healing process of certain biological tissues.3,8 This range is low energy and extremely low frequency and spans from 2 Hz to 50 Hz.8 However, still missing from this research is a mechanism of action that can explain the connection between electromagnetic field increases and observed healing benefits reported in the current therapy literature.
III. Adding "spin" to the healing equation.
Recently released Russian research posits an approach for describing many, if not all, the biopositive and parapsychological phenomena related to bioenergy healing and conscious intention. This research has postulated and tested the existence of "torsion fields." Russian scientist Akimov and his team consider the quantum vacuum as a universal torsion wave carrying medium. The torsion field is said to fill all of space isotropically, including its matter component. It has a quantal structure that is unobservable in non-disturbed states. However, violations of vacuum symmetry and invariance create different, and in principle observable, states. These theorized "violations" and "invariances" may be what the energy practitioners are creating, which induces changes in the gamma radiation previously described.
The torsion field theory takes a modified form of the original electron-positron model of the Dirac sea: the vacuum's energy field is viewed as a system of rotating wave packets of electrons and positrons (rather than a sea of electron-positron pairs). Where the wave packets are mutually embedded, the field is electrically neutral. If the spins of the embedded packets have the opposite sign, the system is compensated not only in charge, but also in classical spin and magnetic moment. "The concept of quantums as electron-positron pairs was used by M. Broido independently of G. Bjorken. Simultaneously, Ya. Zeldovich demonstrated that presence of an electromagnetic field in Vacuum* (quantum vacuum) results in generation of electron-positron pairs, thus producing non-zero vacuum energy regarded as field energy. The relation between electromagnetism and Vacuum fluctuation was also noted by L. Rivlin."3 Such a system is said to create a "phyton" of which a dense ensemble of phytons are said to approximate a simplified model of the Vacuum field.
When the phytons are spin-compensated, their orientation within the ensemble is arbitrary. But when a charge q is the source of disturbance, the action produces a charge polarization of the Vacuum, as prescribed by quantum electrodynamics. When a mass m is the source of disturbance, the phytons produce symmetrical oscillations along the axis given by the direction of the disturbance. The Vacuum then enters a state characterized by the oscillation of the phytons along their longitudinal spin-polarization; this is interpreted as a gravitational field (G- field). The gravitational field is thus the result of Vacuum decompensation arising at its point of polarization, which is an idea that was originally introduced by the well-known Russian scientist, Sakharov.
Akimov et al.3 go further by following a thesis advanced by physicist Roger Penrose,9 that phytons represent the Vacuum equations in the spinor form and thereby obtain a system of nonlinear spinor equations where two component spinors represent the potential of torsion fields. These equations can describe charged as well as neutral quantum and classical particles. They thus allow that the Vacuum field is disturbed not only by charge and mass, but also by classical spin. In that event the phytons oriented in the same direction as the spin of the disturbance keep their orientation. Those opposite to the spin of the source undergo inversion; then the local region of the Vacuum transits into a state of transverse spin polarization. This gives the "spin field" (S- field), viewed as a condensate of Fermion pairs.
The dynamic interaction of positive and negative particles, with their resident charge, mass and spin characteristics, defines matter as we see it as well as the underlying forces. Intentional distortion of the zero-point field (ZPF), or Vacuum, subsequently modifies these parameters. If the substance is unbalanced and in a state of disequilibrium, then the bioenergy of the healer's interaction with the ZPF will serve to balance the energy scales and return the substance to equilibrium.
In keeping with this theory, Akimov et al.3 view the Vacuum as a physical medium that can assume various polarization states. Given charge polarization, the Vacuum is manifested as the electromagnetic field. Given matter polarization, it is manifested as the gravitational field. And given spin polarization, the Vacuum manifests as a spin field. All fundamental fields known to physics correspond to specific Vacuum polarization states.
IV. Characteristics of the torsion field
G.I. Shipov showed that besides the two known long-range physical fields, electromagnetic and gravitational, there exists a third long-range field: the torsion field. The torsion field is an extremely unusual entity. First of all, the theoretical upper limit for the speed of torsion waves is estimated to be not less than 109 c, where c is the speed of light in a Vacuum. Second, torsion fields may be able to propagate in a region of space which is not limited by the light cone. That means that torsion fields are able to propagate not only in the future but in the past as well. Third, torsion fields may transmit information without transmitting energy. Fourth, torsion fields are not required to follow the superposition principle.10

"An alternative procedure for detecting and estimating torsion field has been proposed recently, consisting in measurement of natural radioactive background with some kind of ionizing radiation sensor. Placing a pulse counting device (Geiger or solid-state scintillation counter) in the area exposed to torsion field one can obtain a corresponding estimate of the field. Sensitivity of ionizing radiation sensors is several orders of magnitude higher than that of quartz ones, but the latter are more stable as compared to sensors of all other types."11 Thus, what has been observed in repeated experimental tests monitoring gamma count fluctuations during alternative healing sessions may be directly related to torsion fields.
V. Torsion fields, radiation hormesis, and bioenergy therapy
The theory linking biopositive physiological effects of bioenergy therapies with radiation hormesis has been well described.4,5 Radiation hormesis is the concept of using small doses of ionizing radiation in a manner which has a beneficial affect on the body. In summary, whole body exposures of mammals to low-dose irradiation (doses <10 cGy/y; <10 rad/y) has been found to stimulate major physiologic parameters including reproduction, growth, muscular development, mental acuity, cell repair systems (DNA, RNA, membranes and shock proteins), and immune competence.12,13,14
Similar biopositive effects have been noted following bioenergy healing therapies including reduced anxiety in hospitalized cardiovascular patients,15 chemotherapy oncology patients,16 and premature neonates.17 Other research has shown bioenergy therapies reduce tension headache pain17 and dramatically increase the rate of healing of dermal punch wounds.18 One pilot study demonstrated a decrease in the concentration of suppressor T-cells implying an increased immune response.19 A separate study showed significant changes in hemoglobin and hematocrit values after treatment.20
Work by renowned Chinese scientist Dr. Shu-Zheng Liu of the MH Radiobiology Research Unit of Norman Bethune University demonstrates that in both human populations and animal studies low-dose radiation (LDR) stimulates the immunological responses.21 The up-regulation of immunity following LDR involves a series of cellular and molecular reactions as well as their systemic regulation. The results obtained by Lui and many others have compelled researchers to conclude that whole-body irradiation (WBI) with X- and gamma-rays in the dose range within 0.2 Gy has definite positive effect on the immune system which can be considered as beneficial to the organism.22
Similar types of improved immune responses have been reported by the Russian scientists with the use of generated torsion fields. "In a laboratory of radiobiology of Perm University we have investigated the effect of static torsion field on mice. . . The experiments have shown that torsion field has immune-stimulating effect showing itself in the activation of both cellular and humoral parts of the immune system. Being 53.3% for the control mice, the content of rosette forming cells was a high as 71.0% (p<.001) for the mice subjected to the action of torsion radiation. Appreciable differences in the response of the humoral part of the immune system for the unexposed and exposed mice were also detected: the titer of antibodies being 8.33 for the former and 11.70 for the latter."11
VI. Interacting with the Vacuum
It is therefore postulated here that bioenergy healers are creating permutations in the Vacuum or zero-point field (ZPF) via torsion fields, which, in turn, change the characteristics of the source mass m (see Figure 1). For this discussion, the Vacuum/ZPF is being defined as "the locus of a vast energy field that is neither classically electromagnetic nor gravitational, nor yet nuclear in nature. Instead, it is the originating source of the known electromagnetic, gravitational, and nuclear forces and fields. It is the originating source of matter itself."

This spin compensation, posited to be induced by heightened electromagnetic fields surrounding the hands of bioenergy healers (charge q), alters the torsion field and creates new annihilation/energy opportunities for the source.
Furthermore, preliminary data collected to test this theory demonstrate a "Rubberband Effect" resulting from the healer’s intervention with matter-based substances and their fields. To explain the effect, one can use the example of an unstretched rubberband of a certain length (say 2"):

This, however, puts the system out of equilibrium such that when the force, or energy, dissipates, the rubberband does not immediately go back to a stable position 2" but, first, overcompensates by going to 1":

In a recent gravity-shielding experiment involving lentil beans, the rest mass (pre-therapy) was 37.545 gms. When the bioenergy healers energized it in a direction such that it reached a peak by decreasing in mass by about 0.1 gm (this was replicated in a second energizing session). This "stretched" the mass of the beans such that when the energy dissipated overnight it did not return to its normal rest mass (37.545) but over compensated by a full gram.
Likewise, a replication of the test involving the same healers under more stringently controlled conditions, e.g., test mass enclosed behind glass windows, resulted in the same rubberband effect only in reverse. The test mass initially got heavier but subsequently rebounded to a lighter than pre-test weight. Several attempts to replicate these results by non-therapists demonstrated that the test mass could uniformly be made heavier; however, the rebound effect only returned the mass to its pre-test level and not beyond.
A second series of preliminary experiments with bioenergy healers demonstrated a similar rubberband effect. In a radioactive decay rate study, which tested the ability of the healers to alter the constant gamma decay rate of Cs-137, the results indicated that the Cs-137 peak increased at some point during the therapy session but, post-therapy, plummeted to a level below the pre-test average (testing is still underway with additional healers and controls).
Russian researchers have theorized that torsion fields may have both an elastic effect and a residual effect: both noticed in the previously described experiments with bioenergy healers. "The opinion that the Vacuum behaves as a super-fluid is commonly accepted. There are also researchers who believe that Physical Vacuum behaves as an elastic solid, precisely as aether was regarded at the times of I. Newton.. . Another feature of torsion fields must be mentioned. Just as a magnet produces residual magnetization in a ferro-magnet, the torsion source creates ‘residual’ polarization through acting upon the classical spin both at the levels of substance and the Physical Vacuum."3
VII. Gamma radiation, torsion fields, and psi-phenomena
Thus far it has been demonstrated and postulated that there is a connection between bioenergy healers, gamma radiation, and torsion fields. Is there also a possible link to the unexplained psi-phenomona that have perplexed scientists and theologians for centuries? According to the Russian pioneers in torsion field research, just as in electricity, the elementary particle charges are the primary source of field where the elementary particle spins are the primary sources of torsion field. However, gamma photons have also been identified as primary sources of torsion field.3 Furthermore, it has been stated and verified that the electromagnetic field can generate the torsion one. Thus, it stands to reason, that healers who can consciously increase the electromagnetic field surrounding their hands and, likewise, cause significant fluctuations in external gamma radiation around a subject’s body, are also creating permutations in the torsion field and, subsequently, the Vacuum itself.
VIII. Conclusion
This new paradigm describing the "Spin Doctor," advances our scientific understanding of bioenergy healing modalities by analyzing studies and data in order to develop a theory that takes into account our current understanding of physics and expands upon it. Too often data which does not fit our current understanding is ignored rather than trying to develop a theory which can explain the previous data as well as the new.
As a result of this new paradigm, we can now begin to understand, and thus demystify, the origins and actions of the "imaginary" aether of healing energies. This new model takes into account the well-known, and documented, beneficial effects of low-dose radiation as a potential mechanism in bioenergy healing. Furthermore, the acceptance and appreciation of torsion fields, with their influencable spin characteristics both in defining and refining matter, opens a new perspective of scientific exploration into psi-phenomena. Possibly, we can conclude that life, and even mind, may be a manifestation of the constant, albeit subtle, interaction of the wave packets classically known as "matter" with the underlying physically real Vacuum field.

Zero Point Energy Coils: Definitions

Preface
Intended for the betterment of mankind, these coils are the result of many working in the alternate energy research field of public domain information. This is a collective project shared by many sincere and giving individuals, with the intention of discovering a new source of power and healing for our planet.
Definitions:
Lathem coil - a coil based on a special length of wire [44 feet 6 inches] found to resonate a free torsion energy that has been discovered to be present in many places on the earth. They are typically wound into alternating scalar canceling and normal clockwise or counter clockwise forms, and wired in series to produce healing devices that are self powering to a mass of crystals present with them.
Terra coils - a coil based on the long side of a triangle distance crossing four Terra lines at opposite corners. The distance can be found experimentally by "pruning" but is theoretically about 45 feet 3 inches / fractions or multiples of this length to capture wavelengths or harmonics. As earth points may vary. Terra lines may be palmed or sensed in a local setting and various lengths can be connected to the RainMaker coils to sense the power levels of the captured fields.
Earth Grid Coils Reference
Kosol coil configuration - One scalar bismuth coil is parallel wired to one normal wound coil with an iron content and both are setting in the same alignment. This system provides a strong linear torsional powering system. If placed into platonic form can create a density sphere system.
Limax Coil - Coil developed by Martin Pott, is wound with a floppy disc type flat ribbon cable. Ends are then spliced alternating to achieve a reverse current flow in each wire moving up the coil. This coil can be opened with a switch to shut it down. Coils can be now wrapped quickly to almost any depth.
Weave Coil - Designed by David Lowrance based on the description of Wilbert Smiths writings, a coil with each single loop reversed from the one next to it. Loops are placed on the coil form then twisted around one another at each of 180 degree points along the sides of the coil moving upwards. Normally a one layer coil is plenty for a bismuth core to become notably strong using a function generator. This is the coil detailed in the RainMaker vortex generator.
Tempic to electric conversion coil- Two coils of normal wind in non resonant lengths can be set up at 90 degrees inside a Faraday cage and tuned to receive torsion field waves induced using mobius or other scalar canceling coils. The coils must intercept the torsion waves at specific angles as torsion waves are polarized much like light or photon waves. Measuring equipment can then be attached via coaxial cables to monitor the presence of torsion induced waves. It was discovered during tests that many electronic devices actually radiate fairly strong 60 cycle torsion waves not detectable by normal EM equipment, and this is a common practice used to cancel unwanted EM.
Platonic form - Grouping of magnets or Torsion coils such that all torsion fields are equalized in all three dimensions forming a smooth confinement of space in which a higher density may be contained. Searl disc is patterned as a 2 dimensional platonic form. Kosol spheres as three dimensional platonic form. RainMaker base is a 2 dimensional form and the spherical crystal on top pulls this into a three dimensional one. Most all tube devices are single dimension.
Linear forms - Any device creating a strong torsion field in only one dimension, must be balanced with "mass of crystal" to avoid possible torsion sheers. This includes most all tube devices as determined by direct experiment.
Clockwise coil - A coil wound such that energy will move through it in a clockwise rotation as seen from the energy looking forwards to where it is heading.
Counter clockwise coil - A coil wound such that energy will move through it in a counterclockwise rotation as seen from the energy looking forwards.
General
It is discovered that there are two ways to wind coils and both produce different atomic interactions as to Tempic, Electric, and Magnetic field forces.
To determine wind direction of a coil, sight down one end of the coil and pretend you are moving into the wire closest to you and moving away. If you end up turning clockwise then you have a clockwise coil. Note that if you flip the coil over and do this again you still have a clockwise coil. Both coil winds are unique in this respect.
A clockwise wind will favor Proton spin, as energy moves through it, Proton spin is added to, and Electron particle spin is lowered. It is expected that this would be reversed in a counter clockwise coil. Noteworthy also is if Electricity moves through both coils it will produce a magnetic field in each that is reversed due to the Right Hand rule for magnetism. Proton spin results in torsion fields and Electron spin results in magnetic fields, so each coil wind alters both forces differently.
Energy in Copper coils:
It is possible for all three forms of energy to move through copper.

Torsion and Scalar canceling coil Basics for ZPE
While the focus of this paper is to preserve the scientific parameters of this new found energy form, one should remember that the Earths flow of life force is not to be regarded as anything less then sacred.
Caution
The ZPE coils tap the Earths grid systems, and this is a very powerful torsion field system. If one is not accustomed to working with torsion fields it can cause confusion, disorientation, and irritability if a field runs too strong too fast. The Lathem coils at 44.5 feet can be configured in the Kosol style density sphere. When grounded to the earth using a single wire, they produce a strong surge upwards in torsion and density. The sensation is the top of ones head feels like it is being pushed upwards. If any nonlinear device is placed in series with the ground wire like a light bulb, this can create instant pain, headaches, or confusion. If the scalar coils are kept in balance the sensation is very smooth and can be endured, but the desire is to identify, tap, detect, then down shift this energy to a more human friendly usable form.
We owe a debt of gratitude to Lyle Lathem for this amazing discovery of how to tap into the high frequency torsion force. However consider this is the field of the Earths grid to avoid sleeping on top of. It is commonly stated that it can become toxic for us if we suck in too much, and do not transmute it into a usable form. Every individual will have a different tolerance for this so must become aware. Self observation is not an option at this point, but a requirement. Conscious training is essential and emotional stability. The healing orbs are suggested if ones aura is not clear. Expect accidents and irritability to result until these devices are understood.
Sensing the energy
Many devices have been covered on this site to date. The RainMaker vortex generator with a full calcite crystal sphere has proved to be the most effective for me. The scalar bismuth coil can be shorted then a single wire brought off the ends as a test probe for torsion in circuits and coils. They can be instantly felt from anywhere around the sphere when they hit the coil probe. Knowing what is going on inside a torsion coil is of the greatest importance, and if the energy is at a high enough level simply touching the copper with a finger can be very revealing as well. Torsion energy is sensed as pure Light at the third eye, but enters the body in many ways. Subtle levels can be sensed touching the sphere of the RainMaker. Close the eyes, begin to add descriptive words to the energy sensed and a picture will form very quickly of the energy type encountered.
Also a large twin lead scalar coil can be used as a sensor of torsional energy, the ends of one side are run to a probe. Connecting the probe to a ground will demonstrate this effect nicely. Roll 33 feet of twin lead around a pop bottle, which gives a good human energy signature. Short opposite colored end of each lead together, solder a probe wire to one joint. As alternate torsion hits the coil it will be split into two flows that oppose one another and the energy will expand becoming perceptible at the third eye center. This is a one wire torsion circuit or opened ended circuit, and we see from this that it does transfer energy.
Earth Grids
Here are what is known to date on the earth grid system.
Curry Grid:
The curry grid is of COSMIC ORIGIN - THE CURRY GRID, with a square of 3.6 x 3.6 meters. This grid has lines in 45 deg. to the main directions NWSO.The lines are 10cm thick, at full moon they rise to 30cm.
11.8 foot per side the grid sits at 45 degrees to poles of earth and appears to be an inflow to the earth. A copper shield held over a 44.5 foot coil will lower the coils output.
From this grid we derive the following terrestrial lengths:

Hartmann Grid:
The Hartmann grid is TERRESTRIAL ORIGIN - Hartmann GRID is the first grid, with direction directly NWSO, about 2.6m x 2m, with too 10cm thick.
Hartmann grid is also called global grid.
These lines form a North - South and East - West grid, they are about 2.0m apart on the North - South axis and 2.5m apart on the East -
West axis in the temperate zone. The active areas being lines 21cm wide with the neutral zone lying between the lines each 21 centimeters (9 inches) wide. The grid is magnetically orientated, from North to South they are encountered at intervals of 2 meters (6 feet 6 inches), while from East to West they are 2.5 meters (8 feet) apart. Between these geometric lines lies a neutral zone, an unperturbed micro-climate. This network penetrates everywhere, whether over open ground or through dwellings.
The Hartmann net has been defined using the Chinese terms of Yin and Yang. The Yin (North-South lines) is a cold energy which acts slowly, corresponds
to winter, is related to cramps, humidity and all forms of rheumatism. The Yang (East-West lines) is a hot, dry rapidly acting energy. It is related to fire and is linked to inflammations.
The points formed by the intersection of these lines, whether positive or negative, are dynamic environments sensitive to the rhythms of the hours and the seasons.
It has been suggested that both the Curry grids and Hartmann Net are earthing grids for cosmic rays that constantly bombard the Earth, and that they can be distorted by other things, such as geological fault lines and underground mining. It is also possible to have spots where the Curry and Hartmann lines cross,

Identify
If one doubts the reality of the Curry grid or its tremendous intensity, there is an easy proof. Wind a Scalar coil of 44.5 feet using two copper wires or a twin lead wire, then form the ends to join oppositely from each end of the coil. Now place a jumper from either side of this scalar coil to a good earth ground and wait. This is one that you will probably notice even if you do not consider yourself sensitive to energy. Destroy this coil and do not leave it laying around, it will pull in and concentrate the high energy or cosmic side of the Earth grid.
To make use of this torsion field we must discover a way to lower the frequency and split out the components we desire to use. This is something the Earth normally handles for us. This coil connected to RainMaker will turn the area toxic in short order. I have found personally an approximate two to four day tolerance for having one active. At this point I am highly emotionally motivated to cut it into very small pieces! I have done this with #12 and with #6 wire both on large 2" Plexiglass coil forms.
In the raw form this coil can be used to find the earth grid, and this will become apparent if you start to walk around with either a density sphere or a large one of these scalar coils while touching the bare copper or connect it into the RainMaker unit and hurry before the head blows off. Do not try to tap this energy system directly using diodes or light bulbs, any unbalance will cause high frequency emissions, that may lie up in the gamma regions. This is the closest thing to "radiant energy" I have encountered and must be respected.
Tap
This is now the easy part of the system as Lyle has provided us the key. 44.5 foot coils of wire any gauge will isolate this grid systems energy and begin to suck it up. Multiple coils can be chained in series. Wind direction determines tempic field spin alteration. To increase the speed of this we ground one side of the coil to a good earth ground, even at a grid point. On the other end of this coil we may want to try a raised sphere of an AG metal like Copper Aluminum or Bismuth. Starting to look like a Tesla setup now. Spiral coils can be used as well. The energy is now taped using other coils that are not connected directly into the primary capturing system. They are positioned at the three spin planes of the system like in the density sphere. If one is made of iron it can be positioned with the earths magnetic field as well to shift the electric field to 90 degrees of this. All the forces will be split out of this, for two Cosmic energy sides, and wire lengths will determine the frequency on the output coils. It may be prudent to use only a down shift torsion coil and then route the energy away before pulling out the specific flows.
Detect
Adding iron anywhere around the coil will intensify the detection process. Sensors can be touched to the coil at any point, scalar coil or a density sphere, or just hands. A distinct difference is noted between the Female and Male flows. The energy is Earth seeking and touching it to a ground will intensify by 10 times in strength.
Down shift
The simplest form of a transformer would seem to be using shorter lengths of wire to tap off lower frequencies. As frequency is not setting in a coherent magnetic field, but a coherent torsional field, tempic energy will propagate between elements from Proton to Electron to Proton. Laying an iron layer over the 44.5 foot coil and a second shorter scalar coil over this may down shift the dangerously high frequencies to much lower ones. Now splitting the flows and then adding a torsion to EM conversion of 90 degree coils may make this energy usable as electricity. This is still experimental and our present goal.
While researching the Hubbard coil device one faces the first questions, coil size, wire lengths, coil spacing and geometry. These questions may be answerable from the scalar research provided here. To tap the Earths energy system down shifting is essential.
Torsion versus EM energy
Copper coil design must deal with two systems of energy. Normal EM is commonly understood and frequency drops as wires grow in length. As we wrap a wire into a coil the EM resonant frequency drops even more because of capacitance added between wires loops. With EM, the copper is acting along its Electron layer as a coherent magnetic field and thus propagation of EM follows the laws of antenna design. Shorter lengths raise in frequency and in Electron energy.
Torsion works entirely different and is based on the length of the isotope chains, and the mass of the copper. This is a coherent torsion field with non coherent magnetic fields in each atom. It involves mass of nucleus spin and precession vibrations. To make a 44.5 foot coil stronger with Earth torsion, use heavier wire, or double its length. Wrapping the wire into a coil does not seem to effect this at all, because the isotope chains in Copper appear to line up along its longer physical dimension. With shaping copper wire we are controlling the geometry of these isotope chains to effect its tension and side to side precessional torsion field interaction. The force is linear with distance and grounded already in the background Aethers time flow rate. Making the wire longer appears to increase the energy and probably the frequency also, this is opposite of the EM layer.
Clockwise verses Counter clockwise torsion coils
As we wind a coil into a CW wind we isolate the Female perceptive side of the cosmic force. Proton natural spin is opposed and torsion drops from the normal background level. As we wind the coil into a CCW form we isolate its male side. Proton spin is increased and torsion climbs higher then the background level.
So the female CW coils are seen to lower the higher energy state of the cosmic energy.
CW is viewed from either end of the coil moving into it, towards its' center. Either way energy flows through the coil it will be spinning the same way as to its direction of advancement, either CW or CCW. The two coils are thus unique and effect torsion differently to tap only one side of it. In a scalar coil we tap both sides and then connect them to cancel. With a torsion scalar coil the tempic field does not cancel but expands, there is no way known to cancel a torsion field at this point of knowledge. Tempic vectors in opposing directions always expand the field.
If we wind two of these each oppositely at 44.5 feet with #6 wire then connect the ends together, now connect one end of both to a ground, we will split the Earths cosmic inflow into two very strong energies. These coils lasted in this form for 4 days at which time I had to cut them up to tolerate the work space.
So coils act like diodes to a torsion field in Copper. Turn direction determines energy type extracted. The two types of energy interact strongly.
Copper Torsion conversion factor
We see from Lyles 44.5 foot coils that the terrestrial distance of 47.2 feet is very probably the one we are tapping into. This gives the approximate Copper torsion ratio for design into any of the other systems. It is likely that a factor of .9428 be multiplied into the terrestrial length desired to draw in torsion field energy into the Copper. This places Copper wire lengths in the following chart for experiment. Trimming can also be used on site to determine this with a detection device like the RainMaker system.

Caution
The ZPE coils tap the Earths grid systems, and this is a very powerful torsion field system. If one is not accustomed to working with torsion fields it can cause confusion, disorientation, and irritability if a field runs too strong too fast. The Lathem coils at 44.5 feet can be configured in the Kosol style density sphere. When grounded to the earth using a single wire, they produce a strong surge upwards in torsion and density. The sensation is the top of ones head feels like it is being pushed upwards. If any nonlinear device is placed in series with the ground wire like a light bulb, this can create instant pain, headaches, or confusion. If the scalar coils are kept in balance the sensation is very smooth and can be endured, but the desire is to identify, tap, detect, then down shift this energy to a more human friendly usable form.
We owe a debt of gratitude to Lyle Lathem for this amazing discovery of how to tap into the high frequency torsion force. However consider this is the field of the Earths grid to avoid sleeping on top of. It is commonly stated that it can become toxic for us if we suck in too much, and do not transmute it into a usable form. Every individual will have a different tolerance for this so must become aware. Self observation is not an option at this point, but a requirement. Conscious training is essential and emotional stability. The healing orbs are suggested if ones aura is not clear. Expect accidents and irritability to result until these devices are understood.
Sensing the energy
Many devices have been covered on this site to date. The RainMaker vortex generator with a full calcite crystal sphere has proved to be the most effective for me. The scalar bismuth coil can be shorted then a single wire brought off the ends as a test probe for torsion in circuits and coils. They can be instantly felt from anywhere around the sphere when they hit the coil probe. Knowing what is going on inside a torsion coil is of the greatest importance, and if the energy is at a high enough level simply touching the copper with a finger can be very revealing as well. Torsion energy is sensed as pure Light at the third eye, but enters the body in many ways. Subtle levels can be sensed touching the sphere of the RainMaker. Close the eyes, begin to add descriptive words to the energy sensed and a picture will form very quickly of the energy type encountered.
Also a large twin lead scalar coil can be used as a sensor of torsional energy, the ends of one side are run to a probe. Connecting the probe to a ground will demonstrate this effect nicely. Roll 33 feet of twin lead around a pop bottle, which gives a good human energy signature. Short opposite colored end of each lead together, solder a probe wire to one joint. As alternate torsion hits the coil it will be split into two flows that oppose one another and the energy will expand becoming perceptible at the third eye center. This is a one wire torsion circuit or opened ended circuit, and we see from this that it does transfer energy.

Hartmann Grid:
The Hartmann grid is TERRESTRIAL ORIGIN - Hartmann GRID is the first grid, with direction directly NWSO, about 2.6m x 2m, with too 10cm thick.
Hartmann grid is also called global grid.
These lines form a North - South and East - West grid, they are about 2.0m apart on the North - South axis and 2.5m apart on the East -
West axis in the temperate zone. The active areas being lines 21cm wide with the neutral zone lying between the lines each 21 centimeters (9 inches) wide. The grid is magnetically orientated, from North to South they are encountered at intervals of 2 meters (6 feet 6 inches), while from East to West they are 2.5 meters (8 feet) apart. Between these geometric lines lies a neutral zone, an unperturbed micro-climate. This network penetrates everywhere, whether over open ground or through dwellings.
The Hartmann net has been defined using the Chinese terms of Yin and Yang. The Yin (North-South lines) is a cold energy which acts slowly, corresponds
to winter, is related to cramps, humidity and all forms of rheumatism. The Yang (East-West lines) is a hot, dry rapidly acting energy. It is related to fire and is linked to inflammations.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a device for activating objects in the form of substances, organic materials or living plant, animal or human bodies and parts thereof and a process for activating objects in the form of substances, organic materials or living plant bodies and parts thereof.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
From the beginning of this century, the question of whether electromagnetic radiation can be emitted by organisms and whether the function of cells is affected by this has been a matter of discussion. In the seventies, F. A. Popp first provided experimental evidence that cells do emit biologically significant photon radiation. It is assumed that the frequency range of this radiation extends from very small values of less than 1 Hz up to very large values of more than 10.sup.18 Hz. It is assumed that the body has its own energy field of an electromagnetic nature and that this electromagnetic field takes precedence over biochemical control and regulation processes. Thus, a disease is indicated by a change at the superordinate electromagnetic control level. Such pathological changes are also called interference vibrations which have an effect on the natural magnetic field of the body and can trigger faulty regulation processes.
Using these principles, a therapy device has been produced which works with the so-called endogenous vibrations for a body or a substance and by means of which an improvement or cure can be produced by extinguishing the interfering vibrational pattern. In this process, using modern electronics, the vibration pattern from human or animal bodies or from plants or even the characteristic electromagnetic fields of other organic and inorganic substances are processed via a bioresonance therapy instrument and applied to the organism for healing purposes. This makes use of the possibility of attenuating or amplifying the signals picked up by reception antennae from bodies or substances and also of inverting the signals in order to extinguish false, pathological electromagnetic vibrations or to stimulate or amplify correct, physiological electromagnetic vibrations in the patient by resonance or extinguishing effects.
With bioresonance therapy, therefore, substantially the following prerequisites are used as the starting point: the body and the biochemical processes in the body are electromagnetically controlled, i.e. there are electromagnetic vibrations in and around the body. These take precedence over biochemical processes and control them so that a vibrational spectrum of the organism is produced. In addition to physiological vibrations, there are also pathological vibrations in every person, these being caused by toxic pollution, injuries, infections, non-cured diseases, allergies, etc. Corresponding vibrations are present in substances. The endogenous electromagnetic fields in bodies or substances can be picked up from the surface and processed in a therapy instrument. Therapy vibrations are produced in the therapy instrument from these vibrations and these are passed to the body. The therapy vibrations cause a therapeutic effect in the body of the patient by extinguishing or reducing pathological vibrations or stimulating or amplifying physiological vibrations.
The improvement in the biophysical energy situation thus leads to effective therapy. This form of therapy has been known for twenty years, wherein the term Mora.RTM. therapy was that first used and the term bioresonance has now become widely accepted. Reference is made, in general, to the techniques of bioresonance therapy in the relevant literature, for example the publications by F. Morell in Ganzheitsmedizin volume 0/4-87, page 17 and by W. Ludwig, `Die Grundlagen der Bioresonanz-Therapie`, from Bioresonanz-und Multiresonanz-Therapie, Haug Verlag 1990. Other publications relating to bioresonance therapy have been published by the Brugemann Institute in Cauting, for example the publication by H. Brugemann, `Bioresonanz-Therapie--Grundlagen und Praxis`, on the further development of therapy using the patient's endogenous vibrations, and the publication by P. Schumacher, `Allergie aus biophysikalischer Sicht`.
Any substance, whether inorganic or organic, emits an electromagnetic vibrational pattern which lies in both the low and high frequency regions. The physical description of the electromagnetic emissions from substances in the long-wave region can be found by means of the Rayleigh-Jeans Law. The radiation curve for a black body at a temperature of 300 K has a maximum at 10 .mu.m, that is in the IR region. However, there is also low frequency radiation according to the radiation law. Thus, radiation of about 8700 photons per cm.sup.2 per second would be expected to be emitted e.g. between 0.9 and 1.1 MHz. These values have to be modified for a real body as compared with black body radiation. In fact, the varying spectral emissions of different materials can be explained as deviations from hypothetical black body radiation.
In the case of organic substances, there is an additional source of radiation which does not apply to inorganic materials, biophoton radiation. The physicist Dr. Popp has recorded remarkable spectra in the UV region, by using photomultipliers which can detect this type of radiation. According to the physicist Bigu del Blanco the spectrum for humans is very wide-band in structure. Although it has not yet been measured, it is assumed that similar spectra are also present for animals and plants. Also, biophotons, which are emitted by living substances, should have the low frequency modulation mentioned above.
The radiation which is characteristic of any substance, which exists in both the low and high frequency region, can be received by an input antenna and processed with an electronic circuit e.g. amplified, inverted or attenuated. By means of a transmitter antenna, this processed signal can be sent to a carrier substance which can store this vibrational pattern, or can be transferred to a body. Transferring is the normal expression for the handing over of a signal. The transmitter substance can be a natural or artificial preparation or one of the body's own substances. Transfer to a body represents a therapeutic application.
DE-OS 31 10 915, DE-OS 30 27 621 and DE-OS 32 44 582 make known an arrangement by means of which the human body can be subjected to a varying or modulated magnetic field. Also, in the case of the vibrational-magnetic field therapy unit known from DE-OS 41 35 325, an ampoule with a paramagnetic reagent is subjected to a magnetic field and activated in this way.
The MitoSan system is produced and marketed by the Vitatec GmbH medical engineering products Co., and objects which are to be treated or activated are subjected to a weak and varying magnetic field in this system. In addition, vibrations in the region of ultraweak electromagnetic signals can also be produced with the MitoSan system. These ultraweak signals correspond, under physiological conditions and in the context of the genetic control system, to those of the cells themselves. Sounds generated deep in the fiery depths of the Sun make Earth, its atmosphere, and even its magnetic field ring like many cosmic bells.

According to researchers on the Ulysses mission, there are distinct tones that are thought to be generated by energy and pressure waves in the Sun. Now, researchers have identified these same tones in the Earth's seismic data, and even in induced voltages in ocean cabling.
The vibrations in the Sun have two causes: pressure waves and gravity waves, which are referred to as p-mode and g-mode, respectively. Scientists hope to use the g-mode waves to study the interior of the Sun, in the same way that seismic data can provide an insight into the inner workings of Earth.
But although the p-mode solar oscillations have been observed by the SOHO observatory, g-mode vibrations are not optically detectable. But the evidence of the waves is there, and easily detectable, in data on Earth.
Lead researcher David Thomson says data from the Ulysses mission provides clues as to how the sounds reach Earth. He suggests the vibrations are picked up by the magnetic field at the Sun's surface. The solar wind then carries the field into interplanetary space, where space probes like Ulysses can pick up the signal.
The solar wind also interacts with the Earth's magnetic field, causing it to vibrate in sympathy. From our magnetic field, the signal is picked up by our many technological systems, as well as the planet itself.
The researchers add that the tones are far beyond the edge of human hearing, some 12 octaves below the lowest detectable note. While orchestras tune up to the A above middle C, at around 440 Hertz, the Earth rings at a much more stately 100-5000microHz. That is one vibration every 278 hours, or 11.5 days

This isn't a scene from Seattle Grace Hospital, the set of the popular television drama Grey's Anatomy, but from its real-life model, Harborview Medical Center. Engineers at the University of Washington are working with Harborview doctors to create new emergency treatments right out of Star Trek: a tricorder type device using high-intensity focused ultrasound rays. This summer, researchers published the first experiment using ultrasound to seal punctured lungs.
"No one has ever looked at treating lungs with ultrasound," said Shahram Vaezy, a UW associate professor of bioengineering. Physicists were skeptical it would work because a lung is essentially a collection of air sacs, and air blocks transmission of ultrasound. But the new experiments show that punctures on the lung's surface, where injuries usually occur, heal with ultrasound therapy.
"The results are really impressive," Vaezy said. He cautions that this is still in the early stages and the technique is not yet being tested on humans.
High-intensity focused ultrasound is now being investigated for a number of different treatments. It promises "bloodless surgery" with no scalpels or sutures in sight. Doctors would pass a sensor over the patient and use invisible rays to heal the wound. Researchers are exploring the use of high-intensity focused ultrasound - with beams tens of thousands of times more powerful than used in imaging - for applications ranging from numbing pain to destroying cancerous tissue.
In this case, lenses focus the high-intensity ultrasound beams at a particular spot inside the body on the patient's lungs. Focusing the ultrasound beams, in a process similar to focusing sunlight with a magnifying glass, creates a tiny but extremely hot spot about the size and shape of a grain of rice. The rays heat the blood cells until they form a seal. Meanwhile the tissue between the device and the spot being treated does not get hot, as it would with a laser beam.
"You can penetrate deep into the body and deliver the energy to the bleeding very accurately," Vaezy said. Recent tests on pigs' lungs showed that high-intensity ultrasound sealed the leaks in one or two minutes. More than 95 percent of the 70 incisions were stable after two minutes of treatment, according to results published this summer in the Journal of Trauma.
The findings suggest that ultrasound might replace what is now a painful, invasive procedure. Lung injuries are relatively common because the chest is a big surface that's often exposed to crushing or puncture wounds, said co-author Gregory Jurkovich, chief of trauma at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and a UW professor of surgery. A busy trauma room like Harborview's, he said, admits about two patients with bleeding lungs per day.
Often the bleeding can be stopped simply by packing the wound and applying pressure. In other cases, doctors insert a straw and drain the blood and air so the wound can heal. But in about one in 10 cases neither of these methods is successful, and doctors must operate to stop the bleeding. That means making a long incision and separating the ribs, and then either sewing up the organ or removing a section of the lung.
The new research shows that in these difficult cases, high-intensity focused ultrasound applied from outside could stop bleeding and air leaks. Vaezy and colleagues in the Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound in the UW's Applied Physics Laboratory have been developing ultrasound for surgery for more than a decade, concentrating on frequencies in the 1 million to 10 million hertz (cycles per second). The device producing the ultrasound rays, about the size of a golf ball, is inserted into a handle that doctors use to scan the outside of the body. Previous experiments used the tool to seal blood vessels and stop bleeding in the spleen.
Someday, Jurkovich predicts, this tool might be used for image-guided therapy.
"Doctors will scan the body from the outside, recognize where the injury is, focus the beam on the injury and use the beams to seal the wound," Jurkovich said. The futuristic medical technology's promise is substantial, he said. "It would be non-invasive and it would stop the bleeding from the outside. When it happens, that's going to revolutionize how we would care for some of these injuries."
The research was funded the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense and the National Space Biomedical Research Institute.

The fundamental frequency in the Universe is the Ryhsmonic (aetheric) frequency f* which is equal to 1/T* or 1/5.391 x 10-44 sec. which is about 1.855 x 1043 Hz.
Interaction with this fundamental frequency under resonance conditions should result in an exchange of energy, i.e., energy extraction. Some possible resonances are now considered, with remarks on possible confirmation: without reference to powers (fundamental to operating frequency ratios) the basic frequencies are now listed:
