Energy E = mc2 is an energy of field of deformations of aether around of mass m, that is energy of gravitational field. As a matter of fact, the inertia of aether subjected to deformation determines a value of mass [10].
The deformation of aether arises together with a pressure differential in aether caused by phase change in aether, the presence of discharges of aether in particles of gravitating material. According to the laws of hydrodynamics discovered in 18-th century by Daniel Bernoulli [21] and Leonhard Euler [22], such difference creates force close to a return square of distance between gravitating bodies. It appears in modern theoretical physics as Newtonian force of a gravitation.
In case of many bodies, close distances and high speed the deviation from Newtonian law of gravitation are essential.
How to calculate these forces? The base it is created centuries ago.
First of all, it is Galilean principle of a velocity addition and Galilean principle of relativity corrected for high speed of movement of deformations in aether. The running speed of a deformation field is known for a long time is a speed of light.
Secondly it is the mathematical theory of the potential, designed by Karl Friedrich Gauss, and in particular, its last modification of 1845 - retarded potentials. Unfortunately ingenious Gauss has left in another world before publishing results on retarded potentials, and his letter with presentation of idea of transmission of potential through environment with final speed of propagation was hide by W. Weber from scientific community, and Gauss's solution is presented in the distorted kind as Weber's own solution [29, 42].
Partly therefore at the end of 19-th century Paul Gerber needed to find the solution of this problem by himself, and he has executed it with honor [24-27], having applied the theory of retarded potentials to a solution of a problem of anomalous motion of Mercury. Unfortunately, soon after publication of his articles Gerber has left in another world, and his transactions utilized for relativistic hoax of Einstein [32-35].

I am deeply grateful to the doctor of engineering science V.A. Atsjukovsky from Joukovski of the Moscow province. He has sent me the collection (under his edition) of basic works of the experimenters on an ethereal wind including the articles (till now not translated on Russian) with his personal translation. They have helped me at writing the given article.
The centenary ethereal war forced to physicists by the Lorentz and an Einstein and supporting them relativists is prolonged. Though from the moment of its appearance there were incontestable evidences of existence of ether. The culmination of this scrambling has come in 1977. American physicists, having measured speed of a solar System concerning so-called "relict" radiation [1], have proved rightness of Miller, which has calculated an approximate direction and speed of a solar System. He wrote, that it is more than 200 km/s and, maybe, 300 and 400... with the help of a drag coefficient of the Fresnel and interference measurements of an ethereal wind concerning a surface of the Earth with allowance for of partial dragging by it of an ether.
But even after that, relativists go on to persist in the fallacy. They have created such "brilliant" supercomposite mathematical formalism. They "have broken fire wood" in the irrepressible imaginations with waiving of common sense. And they came into that so far, that now it is inconvenient to them to return on the guilty Earth and to confess that they for noting so much time misted a head to mankind.
The supporters of a relativity theory, having taken key posts in control of science and actually being by an authority, taking, and having trapped all mass media (this status is saved now too), have made forgery in science concerning outcomes of experiments of Michelson, Morley and Miller. This forgery is intentionally converted into a title block as an indisputable truth for the schoolboy, student and scientist.
The problem of ether is far from harmless, it stands in "a solar plexus" of physics, and its incorrect solution puts a considerable loss to scientific views.
In the very first experiments (report 1881 [2]) on the interferometer Michelson has obtained an ethereal wind from 3 up to 3,5 km/s, that do not correspond to orbital velocity of the Earth 30 km/s, but it was the essential outcome.
Already in the report 1881 he has dared to object to Lorentz, the authority of which then was so great, that his each word in science was perceived as immutable truth: "...The experiment has shown, that the hypothesis of a fixed ether has appeared erroneous". But he had to consider the result in 3...3,5 km/s as an error of experiment (not without pressure from outside). He could be understood: the difficulty of the first experiment consists in its imperfection. The device was so responsive to hindrance, that "even the steps on sidewalk in hundred meters from an observatory cause full disappearance of interference fringes".
To 1887 Michelson together with Morley has finished a series of experiments on an improved interferometer [3]. It was located on an stone plate floating in Hydrargirum, and length of a beam was increased from 1 up to 11 m. In the conclusion of the report 1887 the authors have written: "...Expected displacement – 0,4 bands. The real displacement was less than 1/20, and probably it is less, than 1/40 bands, i.e. relative velocity of the Earth and ether, probably, are less than 1/6 orbital velocity of the Earth and certainly less than 1/4".
1/6...1/4 speed of the Earth on orbit means 5...7,5 km/s (!). That is even more, than in experiments 1881. And as Miller has written subsequently: "it purely differs from zero outcome, now so frequently assigned to this experiment by the authors of works on a relativity theory".
In addition to the report Michelson and Morley have set up advice to the experimenters, who will keep interference test: "...It is vain to attempt to solve the problem on motion of a solar System by observations of optical phenomena on surface of the Earth. But it is not impossible to find out relative movement by the vehicle, similar used in described experiments on mean altitude above sea level, for example, on top of the separately standing mountain. Probably, if the experiment some day will be conducted in similar conditions, the casing of the vehicle should be made from a glass or even miss".
From all subsequent experimenters only Miller has used Michelson and Morley's advice. He has obtained positive results on definition of an ethereal wind. Another scientists have wanted to prove the lack of ether and ethereal wind to confirm justice of a relativity theory; therefore they made screens from metals and did the experiments in brick buildings.
After 1887 the events have developed as follows. For explanation of "negative" outcomes of experiments of Michelson – Morley and experiments of Kaufmann with motion of fast electrons in a transversal magnetic field Lorentz [4] [5] has made a hypothesis about shortening of longitudinal linear dimensions of moving bodies and on its basis – idea of a general principal of relativity (see article "The general principle of relativity does not exist", "Science of Kazakhstan" #20, 1995). Lorentz and Poincare have discussed all aspects of relativity in printing in period from 1887 to 1905. But the unforeseen occasion happened here. Almost simultaneously there were published the completing work of Poincare [6] and Einstein's article "To an electrodynamics of moving bodies" [7] on this problem. Einstein's article was received to print for 25 days earlier. In this article the main postulate was not shortening of lengths of moving bodies, but persistence of velocity of light irrespective of motion of the receiver and, as a corollary, total refusal of existence of ether. There is no ether – there are no problems with an ethereal wind! But there is no also common sense, so far as it is impossible to reflect above problems: what is the light, how does the light correct the velocity concerning the receiver etc. In this case physics was transformed to a mathematical formalism, and invented postulates and prohibitions – in to the laws of the nature. The seizure of the initiative in physics by Einstein and his supporters was lightning, vigorous and total.
But the experimenters did not give up. D.C. Miller, the professor of Сase school of applied science, has started long wearisome scrambling with the relativity theory. Prof. Nassau, dr. Stremberg, prof. Morley, president of Institute Karpety in Washington Merriam, director of an observatory Gel and Adams, engineer Prof. Heff, dr. Langer, Prof. Martin, Shekland and many other helped him.
Miller in cooperation with Morley has constructed (1900...1904) interferometer (all design was advanced and carefully executed) which was fore times more responsive of used earlier. In 1904...1905 experiments in a basement of School of applied sciences in Cleveland have shown ethereal wind 3,5 km/s. Then interferometer was transferred on Euclidean heights, where obtained result was found 3 km/s.
In 1906 Prof. Morley has moved away from active work, and after prolonged interruption Miller has restored experiments in an observatory at Mount Wilson, not far from Pasadena in California at the altitude 6000 foots. In 1921...1925 about 5000 separate measurements in different time of day and night in four different seasons was made [8]. All these measurements, during which was checked up the effect of the every possible factors able to distort result, "have given a stable positive effect appropriate to an actual ethereal wind, as though it was stipulated by relative movement of the Earth and ether with speed about 10 km/s". This motion has determinate direction, which one Miller after the long analysis has presented as general motion of the Earth and Solar system "with speed 200 km/s or more, with apex in constellation of Dragon about a pole of an ecliptic with straight ascension 262° and inclination 65°. It is necessary to assume dragging of ether by the Earth to interpret this effect as an ethereal wind. Apparent relative movement in region of an observatory decreases from 200 km/s or more up to 10 km/s and the dragging of ether also displaces apparent azimuth approximately on 45° to northwest".
In the meantime analysis of experiments of Michelson and Morley was continued, which one were proclaimed by an Einstein and his followers as "negative", i.e. zero.
At first Prof. Hix [9] from University college of Sheffield in 1902 (and it before rise of special theory of relativity!) has established, that the result of experiments of Michelson and Morley was not neglectfully small and has paid attention to presence in it of effect of the first order. Then in1933 Miller [10] has made full research of these experiments: "...The full periodical curves were subjected to the analysis with the help of a mechanical harmonic analyzer, which one has determined a true value of the full periodical effect. It, having been compared to a corresponding speed concerning motion of the Earth and ether, has shown speed 8,8 km/s for midday observations and 8 km/s for evening". In Russia, where the positions of relativists were especially strong any critic of relativity theory was not admitted. Vavilov [11], the president AS USSR, having conducted researches of the basis of this theory, has stated a number of severe objections, which relativists have tried to not note. So, concerning experiments of Michelson and Morley he has written: "the Way of processing of results of experiments of Michelson is those, that any non-cycle displacement are eliminated. Meanwhile, these displacement were considerable".
The scrambling of Miller with relativists was unequal. The Lorentz, attached by idea of abbreviation of lengths of moving bodies, has not accepted any point of view. (It is enough to read his report [12] on conference 1927 on experiments of Michelson and Morley to be convinced in it. Therefore statement of relativists that the Lorentz as if has accepted their party is unfounded). But the supporters of an Einstein have taken an active position, attracting every possible hard – proved physical phenomena for the proof of his theory.
But most important was that, that the subsequent experimenters have not confirmed outcomes of Miller. The experiments of Miller are subjected an indiscriminate critic, while experiments of the subsequent experimenters, which one obtained zero outcomes, accepted without any criticism.
A heavy controversy under the theory of experiment lasts all this time since 1887 (this dispute is not completed now). Most surprising is that, that on the adopted theory of experiment depends its outcome. How was it possible to consider one experiments as correct, and other is not?!
Relativists have launched an intensive attack on a world public opinion of the scientists using an interlacing of fallacies of famous physicists on the theory of experiment, on theoretical problems of physics and, in this connection, scrambling of hypotheses of Fresnel – Stokes, Lorentz – Fresnel, Einstein – Lorentz, Hedric- Lorentz, Miller- Lorentz, Miller- Einstein etc. Sometimes they have distorted outcomes of experiments "a little" (as, for example, of Michelson). Sometimes they have kept silent about the obtained outcomes (as, for example, about outcomes of the Crimean radiolocation of moon). Sometimes they have used the facts as the proof, which one either are below errors of experiments, or can be explained within the framework of classic physics (such, as deviation of light rays near the Sun or abnormal displacement of perihelions of planets). Eventually relativists with the help of mass media have created a cult of a relativity theory and Einstein. Who was not the privately owned author of GTR though, but has been at the head of relativists in scrambling against physicists, holding on to positions of a classic mechanics and ether. Having been occupied with supercomposite mathematics, relativists have decided that they are inaccessible to critics.
But we see now, that the victory of relativists has appeared imaginary. After 70 years (1905...1976) of victorious procession of a relativism the conclusive evidences of rightness of Miller have appeared. With the help of an anisotropy of a background radiation physics have found [14], that the summary speed of a solar System makes up approximately 400 km/s with direction of motion almost at 90° to a plane of an ecliptic north up. Efimov and Shpitalnaja in the article "To a problem on motion of a solar System concerning a background radiation of the Universe" [13] justly assert, that "...To name a background radiation like relict, as now it is accepted, is wrongful..."
On my view, it is necessary to put a point in this centenary dispute, to restore historical and scientific justice, to adjudge posthumously the Nobel Prize on physics to Miller, who has deserved it by the feat in science.
Post scriptum. Probably, anybody from the researchers of an ethereal wind did not pay attention to the fact, that a Milky Way is oriented from a north on the south with small deviation depending on time of year. It means, that the solar System by the plane moves either on the south, or north up, as Miller has found out in the experiments on an ethereal wind. It was possible also to suspect, that the speed of the Earth around of the Sun is much less, than speed of a solar System around of center of a Galaxy, even on a ratio of masses and sizes. This fact was confirmed by measuring of an anisotropy of a background radiation.

For explanation of "negative" outcomes of experiments of Michelson – Morley and experiments of Kaufmann with motion of fast electrons in a transversal magnetic field Lorentz [4] [5] has made a hypothesis about shortening of longitudinal linear dimensions of moving bodies and on its basis – idea of a general principal of relativity (see article "The general principle of relativity does not exist", "Science of Kazakhstan" #20, 1995). Lorentz and Poincare have discussed all aspects of relativity in printing in period from 1887 to 1905. But the unforeseen occasion happened here. Almost simultaneously there were published the completing work of Poincare [6] and Einstein's article "To an electrodynamics of moving bodies" [7] on this problem. Einstein's article was received to print for 25 days earlier. In this article the main postulate was not shortening of lengths of moving bodies, but persistence of velocity of light irrespective of motion of the receiver and, as a corollary, total refusal of existence of ether. There is no ether – there are no problems with an ethereal wind! But there is no also common sense, so far as it is impossible to reflect above problems: what is the light, how does the light correct the velocity concerning the receiver etc. In this case physics was transformed to a mathematical formalism, and invented postulates and prohibitions – in to the laws of the nature. The seizure of the initiative in physics by Einstein and his supporters was lightning, vigorous and total.
But the experimenters did not give up. D.C. Miller, the professor of Сase school of applied science, has started long wearisome scrambling with the relativity theory. Prof. Nassau, dr. Stremberg, prof. Morley, president of Institute Karpety in Washington Merriam, director of an observatory Gel and Adams, engineer Prof. Heff, dr. Langer, Prof. Martin, Shekland and many other helped him.
Miller in cooperation with Morley has constructed (1900...1904) interferometer (all design was advanced and carefully executed) which was fore times more responsive of used earlier. In 1904...1905 experiments in a basement of School of applied sciences in Cleveland have shown ethereal wind 3,5 km/s. Then interferometer was transferred on Euclidean heights, where obtained result was found 3 km/s.
In 1906 Prof. Morley has moved away from active work, and after prolonged interruption Miller has restored experiments in an observatory at Mount Wilson, not far from Pasadena in California at the altitude 6000 foots. In 1921...1925 about 5000 separate measurements in different time of day and night in four different seasons was made [8]. All these measurements, during which was checked up the effect of the every possible factors able to distort result, "have given a stable positive effect appropriate to an actual ethereal wind, as though it was stipulated by relative movement of the Earth and ether with speed about 10 km/s". This motion has determinate direction, which one Miller after the long analysis has presented as general motion of the Earth and Solar system "with speed 200 km/s or more, with apex in constellation of Dragon about a pole of an ecliptic with straight ascension 262° and inclination 65°. It is necessary to assume dragging of ether by the Earth to interpret this effect as an ethereal wind. Apparent relative movement in region of an observatory decreases from 200 km/s or more up to 10 km/s and the dragging of ether also displaces apparent azimuth approximately on 45° to northwest".
In the meantime analysis of experiments of Michelson and Morley was continued, which one were proclaimed by an Einstein and his followers as "negative", i.e. zero.
At first Prof. Hix [9] from University college of Sheffield in 1902 (and it before rise of special theory of relativity!) has established, that the result of experiments of Michelson and Morley was not neglectfully small and has paid attention to presence in it of effect of the first order. Then in1933 Miller [10] has made full research of these experiments: "...The full periodical curves were subjected to the analysis with the help of a mechanical harmonic analyzer, which one has determined a true value of the full periodical effect. It, having been compared to a corresponding speed concerning motion of the Earth and ether, has shown speed 8,8 km/s for midday observations and 8 km/s for evening". In Russia, where the positions of relativists were especially strong any critic of relativity theory was not admitted. Vavilov [11], the president AS USSR, having conducted researches of the basis of this theory, has stated a number of severe objections, which relativists have tried to not note. So, concerning experiments of Michelson and Morley he has written: "the Way of processing of results of experiments of Michelson is those, that any non-cycle displacement are eliminated. Meanwhile, these displacement were considerable".
The scrambling of Miller with relativists was unequal. The Lorentz, attached by idea of abbreviation of lengths of moving bodies, has not accepted any point of view. (It is enough to read his report [12] on conference 1927 on experiments of Michelson and Morley to be convinced in it. Therefore statement of relativists that the Lorentz as if has accepted their party is unfounded). But the supporters of an Einstein have taken an active position, attracting every possible hard – proved physical phenomena for the proof of his theory.
But most important was that, that the subsequent experimenters have not confirmed outcomes of Miller. The experiments of Miller are subjected an indiscriminate critic, while experiments of the subsequent experimenters, which one obtained zero outcomes, accepted without any criticism.
A heavy controversy under the theory of experiment lasts all this time since 1887 (this dispute is not completed now). Most surprising is that, that on the adopted theory of experiment depends its outcome. How was it possible to consider one experiments as correct, and other is not?!
Relativists have launched an intensive attack on a world public opinion of the scientists using an interlacing of fallacies of famous physicists on the theory of experiment, on theoretical problems of physics and, in this connection, scrambling of hypotheses of Fresnel – Stokes, Lorentz – Fresnel, Einstein – Lorentz, Hedric- Lorentz, Miller- Lorentz, Miller- Einstein etc. Sometimes they have distorted outcomes of experiments "a little" (as, for example, of Michelson). Sometimes they have kept silent about the obtained outcomes (as, for example, about outcomes of the Crimean radiolocation of moon). Sometimes they have used the facts as the proof, which one either are below errors of experiments, or can be explained within the framework of classic physics (such, as deviation of light rays near the Sun or abnormal displacement of perihelions of planets). Eventually relativists with the help of mass media have created a cult of a relativity theory and Einstein. Who was not the privately owned author of GTR though, but has been at the head of relativists in scrambling against physicists, holding on to positions of a classic mechanics and ether. Having been occupied with supercomposite mathematics, relativists have decided that they are inaccessible to critics.
But we see now, that the victory of relativists has appeared imaginary. After 70 years (1905...1976) of victorious procession of a relativism the conclusive evidences of rightness of Miller have appeared. With the help of an anisotropy of a background radiation physics have found [14], that the summary speed of a solar System makes up approximately 400 km/s with direction of motion almost at 90° to a plane of an ecliptic north up. Efimov and Shpitalnaja in the article "To a problem on motion of a solar System concerning a background radiation of the Universe" [13] justly assert, that "...To name a background radiation like relict, as now it is accepted, is wrongful..."
On my view, it is necessary to put a point in this centenary dispute, to restore historical and scientific justice, to adjudge posthumously the Nobel Prize on physics to Miller, who has deserved it by the feat in science.
Post scriptum. Probably, anybody from the researchers of an ethereal wind did not pay attention to the fact, that a Milky Way is oriented from a north on the south with small deviation depending on time of year. It means, that the solar System by the plane moves either on the south, or north up, as Miller has found out in the experiments on an ethereal wind. It was possible also to suspect, that the speed of the Earth around of the Sun is much less, than speed of a solar System around of center of a Galaxy, even on a ratio of masses and sizes. This fact was confirmed by measuring of an anisotropy of a background radiation.

Present physical theories are based on numerous postulates for such things as forces, momenta, energy, mass, charge, etc., which are not defined in terms of comprehensible concepts. For example, a force that causes attraction through empty space is clearly impossible to comprehend. Although one can obtain some useful results by manipulating mathematical expressions based on such postulates, this approach has neither yielded progress in philosophy, nor has it enabled further progress in practice. Common sense tells us that, to investigate something effectively, we should know what we are dealing with. As I describe in my book, the ancient Greeks have delineated the basic questions, but they failed to develop the required mathematics, and have not performed the necessary experiments to verify their hypotheses before their civilization collapsed. Nevertheless, the Greek philosophers came to the correct conclusion that there exists a fundamental substance which must be atomistic. This means that the ultimate constituent parts of this substance must not be further divisible. Furthermore, since the observed physical reality is changing, these fundamental entities, which they called atomos, must be in perpetual motion. The issue that was not effectively resolved regards the shape and size of these 'atoms' (gyrons).
With the advances in experimental techniques and mathematics we can now begin to resolve this remaining issue. Since Dalton inappropriately utilized the Greek terminology I decided to call the fundamental entities gyrons. It turns out that the gyrons can all be identical, and that the observed physical variety can be produced through the variations in their motion. Thus, only their size and form must be specified. Since gyrons are the ultimate material entities, it is not possible to investigate them directly by experimental means. Therefore, one must make a plausible hypothesis, and then employ mathematics to relate the collective motion of gyrons to the observable phenomena on a larger scale. Experimental and theoretical considerations lead us to the conclusion that aether must be an anisotropic gas, which requires that the gyrons are non-spherical. The philosophical notion that the cosmos is filled by a superfine gas, called Aether, originates from antiquity. Its mechanical version in classical physics was introduced by Christian Huygens in order to explain the transmission of light via compression waves, analogous to the transmission of sound in air. In this form Aether became the potential mediator of all mysterious 'action at a distance forces' such as gravity, magnetism and electricity. In the nineteenth century, the task of science seemed to be designing suitable fluid dynamical models utilizing Aether to explain each of those mysterious forces. Faraday and Maxwell nearly concluded this task with respect to the mysteries of magnetism and electricity. -- Nevertheless, one attempt to explain the polarization of light required the transverse oscillation of the transmitting medium, which could only be possible in a solid substance. This diversity in the models of Aether became a crucial problem in theoretical physics. Finally, at the turn of the twentieth century the Special Theory of Relativity discarded the Aether altogether.

However, the "ether" of Einstein and the "ether" of Tesla and Michelson were quite different.
Let me start this discussion with an example.
As part of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity there is a claim that there is no Universal Reference Frame (URF). Indeed, the entire purpose of the concept of "relative" reference frames was to do away with the concept of a "universal" reference frame.
In my book I will explain what a "sidereal day period" is, but once you understand what it is, you will understand that Einstein's theory (that there is no URF) is basically a theory that no experiment will ever result in data with a "sidereal day period."
In 1991 an engineer named Roland De Witte, who lived in Belgium, did a 178 day experiment using 6 atomic clocks, 6 digital phase comparators, etc. During this entire experiment he continuously detected a "sidereal day period."
Roland was excited because he had detected that there was a Universal Reference Frame. He submitted several papers to scientific journals and was rejected every time. He could not even get published in Belgium.
At this point we must pause and reflect. Let us separate in our minds De Witte's DATA and De Witte's INTERPRETATION of his DATA. De Witte's DATA was sufficient to obviously disproved one of Einstein's cherished theories. His DATA was sufficient to prove to any physicist two things:
1) There is a Universal Reference Frame and
2) Einstein was wrong.
Journals should have been excited to publish his DATA, with a disclaimer that they did not agree with his INTERPRETATION of his DATA. But they didn't. Nor has anyone attempted to replicate his data.
Scientists should also have been excited about his DATA because with proper design, his techniques could be used, using many carefully designed experiments at different angles (relative to the constellation Leo), to determine whether our Universe is rotating. Scientists couldn't care less about such a discovery. They are not interested in passively or pro-actively finding the truth.
Furthermore, knowledge that our Universe is rotating would destroy another cherished theory - the Big Bang Theory. The only thing scientists want to do is protect their popular theories, especially the ones of Einstein and also the ones that "support" that humans are the most intelligent creatures in the Universe (i.e. atheism).
Because the DATA of his experiments would lead any scientist on earth to know Einstein was wrong, the scientific journals rejected De Witte's paper.
When a self-proclaimed "physicist" rejects DATA because the DATA leads to unpopular conclusions (i.e. that Einstein was wrong), someone should take away their PhD, cut it up, then burn it. But because such people comprise the vast majority, it will never happen.
A person has no right to call himself or herself a "physicist" that rejects DATA that can be verified and replicated. Such people transform "physics" into "religion."
The physicists of this generation are absolutely no different than the ones in the days of Copernicus or Galileo. It seems that in all "establishments" mediocre people not only gain control (because they are always in the vast majority), they persecute those with talent. Nicola Tesla is the best example of this in the history of physics.
The free book on this website: The Detection of Ether, is yet another case in a growing list of cases like that of Roland De Witte. I did a major experiment at Sprint Corporation which disproved two more of Einstein's theories. The DATA of my experiments is verifiable and can be replicated. In fact, my DATA can be replicated by any high school physics class with $200 to spend and access to their school over the weekend (it requires a 24 hour long experiment).
I wrote a major paper describing my experiment and my DATA. Five major physics journals sent me emails telling me not to even submit my paper to their journal. They weren't interested in evaluating a paper that had DATA that conflicted with Einstein's theories.
I truly feel sorry for young physicists. There is no hope they will ever be unchained from the absurdity of three of Einstein's key theories (the photon theory, Special Relativity [including the URF] and General Relativity). They will spend their entire careers studying totally absurd theories of gravity, studying particles that don't exist, and so on.
If a young physicist does discover some great truth, it will be crushed if their DATA contradicts the Religion of Einstein.
The process by which a person gets a PhD in physics is not a process devoted to open-mindedness and creativity, it is a process to whip the person into conformity and brainwash them into mindless obedience.
My aunt, Helen Kehr Billings, who herself had a PhD, use to tell me:
"When they give a person a Bachelors degree, they take away their mouth, when they give them a Masters degree, they take away their brains, and when they give them a PhD, they give them back their mouth."

I have never found any statement to be more literally true.
For most young physicists the current state of affairs is not a problem because they too are more interested in prestige than truth. But for the small percentage of people who love truth, it is just a matter of time until they find the truth that many others have already found. They will then have to start talking to the "renegades," because the establishment will have castigated them. They will be branded as a "renegade" because they don't "follow the program."
Such is the world we live in, a world where "truth" is hated and popularity, prestige and money are loved. I have seen this same pattern in physics, theoretical mathematics, biology (multiple times), medicine (many times), politics and religion. In fact the love of money, power, prestige and pleasure, and the hatred of truth, is literally one of the "defining characteristics" of many of those who live on this planet. It is these kinds of people who seek for power, and obtain it.

At this point we must pause and reflect. Let us separate in our minds De Witte's DATA and De Witte's INTERPRETATION of his DATA. De Witte's DATA was sufficient to obviously disproved one of Einstein's cherished theories. His DATA was sufficient to prove to any physicist two things:
1) There is a Universal Reference Frame and
2) Einstein was wrong.
Journals should have been excited to publish his DATA, with a disclaimer that they did not agree with his INTERPRETATION of his DATA. But they didn't. Nor has anyone attempted to replicate his data.
Scientists should also have been excited about his DATA because with proper design, his techniques could be used, using many carefully designed experiments at different angles (relative to the constellation Leo), to determine whether our Universe is rotating. Scientists couldn't care less about such a discovery. They are not interested in passively or pro-actively finding the truth.
Furthermore, knowledge that our Universe is rotating would destroy another cherished theory - the Big Bang Theory. The only thing scientists want to do is protect their popular theories, especially the ones of Einstein and also the ones that "support" that humans are the most intelligent creatures in the Universe (i.e. atheism).
Because the DATA of his experiments would lead any scientist on earth to know Einstein was wrong, the scientific journals rejected De Witte's paper.
When a self-proclaimed "physicist" rejects DATA because the DATA leads to unpopular conclusions (i.e. that Einstein was wrong), someone should take away their PhD, cut it up, then burn it. But because such people comprise the vast majority, it will never happen.
A person has no right to call himself or herself a "physicist" that rejects DATA that can be verified and replicated. Such people transform "physics" into "religion."
The physicists of this generation are absolutely no different than the ones in the days of Copernicus or Galileo. It seems that in all "establishments" mediocre people not only gain control (because they are always in the vast majority), they persecute those with talent. Nicola Tesla is the best example of this in the history of physics.
The free book on this website: The Detection of Ether, is yet another case in a growing list of cases like that of Roland De Witte. I did a major experiment at Sprint Corporation which disproved two more of Einstein's theories. The DATA of my experiments is verifiable and can be replicated. In fact, my DATA can be replicated by any high school physics class with $200 to spend and access to their school over the weekend (it requires a 24 hour long experiment).
I wrote a major paper describing my experiment and my DATA. Five major physics journals sent me emails telling me not to even submit my paper to their journal. They weren't interested in evaluating a paper that had DATA that conflicted with Einstein's theories.
I truly feel sorry for young physicists. There is no hope they will ever be unchained from the absurdity of three of Einstein's key theories (the photon theory, Special Relativity [including the URF] and General Relativity). They will spend their entire careers studying totally absurd theories of gravity, studying particles that don't exist, and so on.
If a young physicist does discover some great truth, it will be crushed if their DATA contradicts the Religion of Einstein.
The process by which a person gets a PhD in physics is not a process devoted to open-mindedness and creativity, it is a process to whip the person into conformity and brainwash them into mindless obedience.
My aunt, Helen Kehr Billings, who herself had a PhD, use to tell me:
"When they give a person a Bachelors degree, they take away their mouth, when they give them a Masters degree, they take away their brains, and when they give them a PhD, they give them back their mouth."

I have never found any statement to be more literally true.
For most young physicists the current state of affairs is not a problem because they too are more interested in prestige than truth. But for the small percentage of people who love truth, it is just a matter of time until they find the truth that many others have already found. They will then have to start talking to the "renegades," because the establishment will have castigated them. They will be branded as a "renegade" because they don't "follow the program."
Such is the world we live in, a world where "truth" is hated and popularity, prestige and money are loved. I have seen this same pattern in physics, theoretical mathematics, biology (multiple times), medicine (many times), politics and religion. In fact the love of money, power, prestige and pleasure, and the hatred of truth, is literally one of the "defining characteristics" of many of those who live on this planet. It is these kinds of people who seek for power, and obtain it.

Chinese and Russian Military scientists, these reports say, are concurring with Canadian researcher, and former Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief of Forbes Magazine, Benjamin Fulford, who in a very disturbing video released from his Japanese offices to the American public, details how the United States attacked China by the firing of a 90 Million Volt Shockwave from the Americans High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facilities in Alaska.

HOT PROSPECT: Peter Davey, a 92-year-old Christchurch inventor and saxophone player, says he has used his love of music to come up with a device that boils water rapidly, in just the amount required.
Inventor and saxophone player Peter Davey has come up with a device that he claims boils water in no time.
He calls it the "sonic boiler" because he claims it uses the power of sound. How the heater actually works has confounded experts.
The device looks oddly like a bent desk lamp, with a metallic ball at the end instead of a lightbulb. When plugged into the power supply, and the ball is lowered into water, it boils the liquid within seconds -- even as little as a tablespoonful.
"Everybody boils twice the amount of water they need so I decided I would find a way to boil water and make steam more economically," said Davey, a former Spitfire pilot.
"This boils exactly what you want to drink."
Davey, who lives in a tumbledown two-storey historic homestead called Locksley in Dallington, has been using the boiler to make hot drinks for 30 years.
He said he first came up with the concept 50 years ago and it took him half of those years to figure out how to make the device.
"The principle is beautiful. I have cashed in on a natural phenomenon and it's all about music," he said.
"If I hadn't been playing the saxophone, I probably wouldn't have come up with the idea."
Davey noticed as he played the saxophone at home that everything resonated at a different frequency.
"The glasses will tinkle on one note. Knives and forks in the drawer will tinkle on another note and I realised that everything has its point of vibration," he said. "In the same way, a component in the ball is tuned to a certain frequency."
Davey said it took years of trial and error to get the device to where it is now. He has made a number of prototypes using the same principle, including a steamer.
Friends dropping by over the years have urged Davey to make them a sonic boiler and that got him thinking commercially.
Davey, who turns 92 today, is now looking for a manufacturer who will buy the technology and make the devices for the mass market.
"Nowadays, with the economy of water and electricity, I think it could be even more important than when I conceived the idea," he said. "They could sell a million of the things in China."
Davey estimated boilers could be made as cheaply as $9 each. He could imagine cafes using them as a gimmick to make express tea and coffee.
"I cannot wait to explain the principle to somebody who wants to take it on," he said.
The Press invited a retired Canterbury University engineer, Professor Arthur Williamson, to look at the boiler and he was stumped.
He watched Davey boil various quantities of water, took notes of the energy used and temperatures reached. He left scratching his head.
"I don't know enough about sound to know whether you can transfer that amount of energy via soundwaves. I doubt it," said Williamson.
He did remember an alternative kettle years ago that had two perforated metal plates inside. The power ran between the plates, through the water. "The resistance through the water provided the load. I wonder if it isn't working like that? Without taking it to bits, you can't tell."
The kettle was specially designed to prevent people getting a shock from touching the boiling water.
Williamson's verdict of the sonic boiler? "It is an interesting gimmick, irrespective of how it works. I would probably buy one as a gimmick. I think more homework needs to be done."
Also queuing up for a boiler, after first seeing one in the 1960s, is Stu Buchanan, leader of the Garden City Big Band and a friend of Davey.
"It's rather spectacular. I don't know why it has never taken off as a utensil for people. I think it's a class act," said Buchanan.
Davey was born in Hamilton in 1916. During World War 2 he flew Spitfires for the 602 City of Glasgow Squadron of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. The squadron operated along the south coast of England, escorting bombers to Holland and Belgium, doing convoy patrols and fighter sweeps into France.
After the war's end he married and had two children. He bought Locksley in 1964. Davey shares the top storey of the homestead with his 55-year-old son, also called Peter, and a grey tabby cat called Santa. The ground floor is let to lodgers who help pay the bills.
Revolutionary Sonic Boiler Probably Not A Scam!
Well, we don’t really know how quickly Peter Davey’s “sonic boiler” is supposed to be working. The article says it boils the water “within seconds”, which is a bit of a fuzzy definition. I’d like to see exactly how fast it actually does boil it.
And if you want to transfer energy to a liquid, hitting the resonant frequency of that amount of liquid in that container is actually not a good way to do it. That’ll just spray water up the walls. And talk of “resonances” is of course practically diagnostic of crackpottery.
But, making the usual allowances for scientific illiteracy in the popular press, it’s possible that someone could have come up with a way to dump energy into water faster than your normal immersed heating element can do it.
Immersed elements are already pretty darn good, though.
The “2200-2400W” electric jug in my kitchen will bring half a litre of water to a good enthusiastic boil in about eighty seconds, and it draws as much power as you can get from the maximum ten-amp-per-socket current rating of 220-240V countries like Australia and New Zealand, where this inventor resides.
The sonic boiler could be running at 15 amps or more, but that’s cheating; 15-amp sockets are special equipment (used for things like air conditioners), and anybody can boil tons of water in half a second if they’re allowed to use as much electricity as they like.
About 500ml is the minimum amount you can put in most electric jugs without leaving some of the heating element hanging in the air to overheat. It’s also two mugs worth of liquid. So, as Peter Davey says, people certainly do often boil more water than they need. But making an electric jug of conventional design that can heat one mug worth of liquid is not a great engineering challenge. Let’s do the sums and see how fast such a jug could perform, in Physics Experiment Land where pulleys have no friction and cows are spherical.
The (physics, rather than dietary) calorie is the amount of thermal energy necessary to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one Celsius degree. So if you start with 250 millilitres of water at 25°C (which means almost exactly 250 grams of it) and need to raise it all to 100°C, you need 75*250=18,750 calories, which is 78,450 joules.
A joule is a watt-second. So if you’ve got a 2400-watt heater that transfers heat with perfect efficiency to water, you must run it for 32.7 seconds to do this job.
Taking that into account, my electric jug is, clearly, not that far from the theoretical maximum water-heating efficiency.
Assuming its element could be fully submerged in only 250ml of water, that water would boil in about forty seconds, which is only 1.22 times the Physics Experiment Land time for the job.
Given that the element has to heat up from the inside out, and that some energy is lost through the walls of the jug, and that some more is lost to internal evaporation and sound and so on, this electric jug is clearly working about as well as it even theoretically could, when you take real-world limitations into account. Some other 2400-watt heater, built in such a way as to be less limited, could only possibly do the job in 82% of the time, unless it was magically getting energy from nowhere. And Peter Davey does not appear to be making any such claims.
(I’m also assuming that he’s not cheating by pre-heating the boiler before it’s dipped in the water. It’s not hard to boil water “instantly” if you drop a red-hot rock in it.)
So I say good luck to this bloke. He may well have come up with a genuinely new and interesting heater element design, which may have advantages over existing bare immersible heaters, which are generally rather dangerous things. And his heater may work very nicely with even small amounts of water, which in itself is a step forward; you can get electric kettles with the element built into the baseplate which work with arbitrarily small amounts of water, but they take longer to heat up in the first place because of all the extra metal around the element. There may indeed be a niche for this sonic heater, if it performs as advertised.
But there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. If the sonic heater works very much faster, in seconds-per-gram terms, than any old discount-store electric jug, then it’s another perpetual motion machine, which would have a few applications beyond just making a quick cup of tea.

1. Technically, you could change the pressure of the water to make it boil at a lower temperature. That’s cheating, though. (This actually might be how the device works; it also gives a reason for the talk of resonance.)

2. Well, the picture doesn’t give any indication of a pressure vessel, and a device that lowered the air pressure in an unsealed container filled with water would act as a straw and draw the water out.
The thing about resonance is that its main useful property in an application such as this would be to transmit mechanical energy- and given that converting electrical energy to mechanical energy is not as efficient as converting electrical energy to thermal energy, then even if your mechanical->thermal conversion is 100% efficient, you’ve used more energy than you would if you converted electrical energy directly to thermal energy, which is bloody close to 100% efficient as it is.
Unless there’s something weird like sonoluminescence going on (possible I guess) I can’t see how this is more effective than an straight resistive element job.

3. Out of curiosity… what’s the energy coupling like of a microwave oven? Does a 1000W microwave heat up water as fast as a 1000W kettle would? I’m assuming that the 1000W lable is the power available within the cooking area, as the magnatron is hardly 100% efficient.

4. About your water heating math…been along time since I was in high school chemistry, but isn’t getting water to the boiling temperature the easy part of boiling? I seem to recall that there’s a “transition energy” you need to pump in to actually make the transition from very hot water to steam.

5. I wonder if this device includes one of those ultrasonic transducers that atomize water like those “cool mist” vaporizers. You turn it on and the water immediately starts bubbling and you get a mist out of it. The water isn’t getting any warmer, but you get the illusion of boiling. The fact that the inventor is using his bare hands to hold the glass of boiling water gives me pause. Even though glass is, in general, a good insulator, it isn’t that good.
So, take the ultrasonic transducer out of a vaporizer, add a traditional resistive heating element, and you get a device that makes water appear to boil right away, and you can stall any skeptics until the regular heating element actually heats the water.
One other thought came to mind: a small-scale reverse-cycle air conditioner, which has been mentioned by Dan on several occasions. Assuming you could get the dimensions of such a device small enough, you could put a whole lot more power into the water than just the energy from the wall socket.

7. Well, he does mention sonics and heat pumps are great for cheating thermodynamics - maybe he has built a very small thermoacoustic heater. If you squint hard enough that bulb might even be a Helmholtz resonator - although I am not sure that such would be useful in this application.
If the device is a mini-heat pump (rather than an immersion heating element that does not need to be fully submerged) then that is a terrific achievement - whatever the technology.

8. Actually, no this is not really that new. This technology and immersion ultrasound horns/plates/cups are already used by many researchers in the fields of chemistry/physics/health. However, it will never be used for this reason, there is no way. Look up Sonochemistry in google. Back to the drawingboard… or your day job. Interesting but bad idea.

9. Oh I forgot to add….Depending on the frequency the temperature of the bulk solution and the temperature of the solution during ultrasound could be different. Also, it doesn’t take much energy to get the “boiling” effect you see when ultrasound is induced on an aqueous medium. Less than 10W.

More on the Sonic Boiler
The photos shown to date reminded me of a website I found a couple of years ago describing a similar thing. Here are my notes from that find;
"As a sensitive musician Mr Davey noticed, that there was such a frequency of the motor and propeller buzzing, when the aeroplane cabin and his body were getting into a resonance. At this unique resonance frequency he always was experiencing an influx of heat in his aeroplane cabin. He did not know yet, that in future this phenomenon will be utilised in ultrasonic weapon systems for effective and undetected killing of people. But he decided to test whether the same phenomenon is to appear, if a metal hemisphere which simulates his pilot cabin is submerged in water and is excited into a resonance frequency. So he found two tops from old bicycle bells, joined them together, tuned one of them to 50 Hz frequency, attached electricity wire to each one of them, and thrown them into water. Surprisingly, water started to boil extremely fast. So he made his first heater patent based on this observation. This patent was already registered in 1944. After a hero return from the war, he had a device, which repetitively proved to everyone who measured it, that it has the efficiency decisively exceeding 100%. Realising this, he believed that the world is going to pounce on the opportunity of production and use of this technical miracle. After all, people are full of declarations about apparent saving on energy, resources, about protection of our natural environment, etc. However, the reality turned out to be completely opposite. Immediately after it was experimentally confirmed that the device has unexplainably high efficiency, the heater and the inventor fell into disfavour of various institutions that are interested in selling electricity and that protect the monopoly on electrical power. In the result, this extraordinary invention received an extraordinary treatment! Namely authorities were doing everything in their powers to disallow the production and sale of this heater in New Zealand. One of legal tricks that were used against this heater, was that it was declared officially to be "unsafe to health and life of users". (Please notice that practically every electrical device working on 220 Volts can be declared unsafe, if someone in the position of authority wishes to put it down.) In turn in New Zealand it is impossible to undertake the production and sale of anything, that is not officially approved by the government. In the result, Mr Davey was fighting for almost 50 years to receive a permit for the industrial production of this heater. And during these almost 50 years, the permission was continually refused to him, no matter what research outcomes he submitted to please authorities, and no matter how hard he tried. But it is interesting, that in Australia an electric jug with a heating element of the design very similar to the Davey’s heater was put in mass production (this Australian jug most probably is produced in there still even today). This Australian jug is working on the principle of electrical resistance of water (i.e. not telekinesis as the heater of Mr Davey does). Water that it heats is a resistor, in which heat is generated because of the electric current flows through this water. This Australian jug is exactly the same "dangerous to the health and lives", like the telekinetic heater of Mr Davey. Only that it did not encountered in Australia similar bureaucratic resistance because the energy efficiency of it is "normal". When I met Mr Davey for the first time in 1990, he still was appealing to authorities, and still had a hope to receive a permit for the production of his heater - in spite of these almost 50 years of lost battles with bureaucrats. He was even showing to me a large stock of components he gathered to start a production immediately after the permit is granted to him. However, he gave up the experimental production of research copies of his heater.
The design of the Davey's sonic heater is extremely simple. It actually is composed of two major parts only - see Figure K8 (3) from monograph [1/4]. The most important out of these two parts is a resonating hemispherical bowl (1) made of a sound inducing metal plate. The second part is a buffering hemispherical bowl (2) almost identical in shape to the bowl (1). This second bowl has the radius around 4 mm larger than the resonating hemispherical bowl (1). Both bowls are assembled symmetrically one around the other, means the hemispherical bowl (1) is placed inside of the hemispherical bowl (2). Coin is 32 mm wide = 1.25984 inches / Big bowl approximately 1.75 inches wide and .75 inches thick / Small bowl approximately 1 3/8 inches wide. Of course, apart from these two bowls, the heater also includes a long rod, nuts, washers, and electrical wires. These are to hold it together, to supply electricity to both bowls, and to allow the heater to be submerged into water that it heats. But these other parts are marginal additions only. The major parts are the bowls. During experimental production of this heater, the resonating hemispherical bowl (1) usually is made from an old cover for a bicycle bell. The dimensions of this hemispherical bowl are not important. It is only vital that it falls into a sonic resonance at the frequency of 50 Hertz, and that it has the outer surface which is parallel and equidistant from the external buffering hemispherical bowl (2). To each of these two bowls a different wire of the household electricity supply (i.e. 220 V, 50 Hz) is connected. The heater must be submerged in water that it heat. It brings water to the boiling point extremely fast. More details about the design and operation of this sonic heater is provided in subsection K3.3 from volume 10 of monograph [1/4]. After being constructed, the Davey's telekinetic heater must be "tuned" in two different manners. The first tuning depends on providing the hemispherical bowl (1) with such frequency of the own oscillations, that makes this bowl to resonate acoustically when a sound of the frequency 50 Hertz is emitted nearby. The second tuning of the heater depends on appropriate selecting the distance "L" between both bowls (1) and (2). On this distance depends the formation of the standing wave between both bowls. Thus it decides about the energy efficiency of the entire heater. From the information that the inventor repeated to me, I gather that the measurements carried out by New Zealand scientists suggested that this heater may consume even less than the equivalent for around 5% of the energy that it generates in form of heat. This would indicate, that the electrical efficiency of this heater is around 2000%.

Invention could solve resistant disease dilemma; MRSA to dust mites tremble
Ed Neister's been working to clean up people and the environment for over 30 years.
Five startup companies and numerous inventions later, the New Durham resident's newest venture arguably has the most potential yet for business success. More importantly, it could help health care professionals tackle the increasing scourge of drug-resistant infections, saving billions of dollars and countless lives.
Tucked away for the last few years in his backyard workshop off Brackett Road, Neister has developed the technology to kill Noroviruses, C. diff, MRSA and other problem viruses and bacteria using a section of the ultraviolet light, or UV, spectrum to bombard them with killing high-energy photons.
With the help of his brother John, he is ready to begin producing mobile disinfection units that will be marketed under the Sterilray name.
Several of the units have been sold and are being tested in this country and abroad.
The Neisters say their own research shows Sterilray is astoundingly effective, up to 10,000 times more deadly than chemical cleaners. But they are waiting for results from government and private industry now trying out the new units, and for word to spread that Sterilray performs as advertised.
Then the market for their hand-held disinfection wands could be worldwide — and huge.
"In the medical area, everybody wants to see results first," said Ed Neister, who formed Healthy Environment Innovations LLC four years ago to produce Sterilray. He first called it GermBuster but since has changed the name.
The physicist left his fifth startup, Powerspan, to devote himself to finding a solution to so-called "superbugs" using light waves.
Powerspan develops environmental control technology for electric power plants and is headquartered just down the road from Neister's home and workshop. Before that, his other ventures have included a laser device that removes tattoos.
Light has been a specialty of his since his doctoral studies at Brandeis University, and he did research with lasers at AVCO and later Honeywell.
The problem
The problem Sterilray targets has been quietly growing in hospitals worldwide as overuse of antibiotics has created strains of resistant microorganisms that cause everything from annoying intestinal distress in the case of the Norwalk virus to staph infections that can kill weakened patients.
Several years ago, health officials began to see infections occurring outside hospitals. There is new awareness that adequate cleaning is needed not just in hospitals but also hotels, workplaces and public gathering places such as cruise ships.
In recent testimony before the congressional House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, Dr. Betsy McCaughey, chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, urged the government to do more to halt the spread of hospital infections.
She said in 1993, there were fewer than 2,000 reported MRSA infections in U.S. hospitals. By 2007, 880,000 cases or 2.4 percent of all patients, were infected. MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, a staph superbug.
McCaughey said MRSA and other resistant bacteria increasingly are present in hospitals and the government is not adequately monitoring infection rates.
"As long as hospitals are inadequately cleaned, doctors' and nurses' hands will become recontaminated seconds after they wash and glove, as soon as they touch a keyboard, or a privacy curtain or a bedrail. How dirty are hospitals? A recent survey of 49 operating rooms in four New England hospitals found that over half the surfaces in the operating room that were supposed to be disinfected by hospital cleaners were left uncleaned," said McCaughey.
Even with awareness, thoroughly cleaning an infected surface is difficult.
The most common method has been to use a solution of various disinfecting chemicals and water, often a 10 percent bleach solution.
In other applications, such as sewer plants, ultraviolet light has been used for years to incapacitate germs by exposing water to UV rays in what is known as the "germicidal" spectrum. This works by interfering with the germ's DNA so it cannot reproduce. This can come undone, however.
Neister became interested in light as a disinfectant after news of a persistent problem with the Norwalk virus on cruise ships. After research in conjunction the University of New Hampshire, he found that by directing photons from the "far" UV spectrum he not only inactivated the germs' DNA but actually broke it up, killing them.
Excited by his findings, Neister began working on manufacturing a small device that could generate far UV in a mobile disinfecting unit. He has applied for and has had 22 patents accepted related to the Sterilray light wand.
Once he had a viable device, Neister sought out a laboratory to do further testing on a range of problem germs.
Jim Barbato, president, of Microbiology Research Associates, in Acton, Mass., said his lab put various problem microorganisms in petri dishes and briefly exposed them to Neister's device. The results were very promising.
"As microbiologists we don't get too excited about things, and it was rather astounding to see how it killed microorganisms so quickly. We got excited about this," said Barbato. "They were able to kill almost 100 percent."
Infectious microorganisms now are dealt with using chemicals, heat or radiation. These have to be handled properly and can be toxic, said Barbato. He said Neister's device has an advantage in that it's dry and fast. It also avoids the resistance cycle that has created superbugs.
"It's almost equivalent to hitting them with a bomb. They're not going to develop a resistance," said Barbato.

'Pixie Dust' From Pig's Bladder Regrows Man's Finger
With the help of an experimental powder, a man’s severed finger has regrown to its original length in just four weeks, reports London’s Daily Mail.

Lee Spievack, of Cincinnati, who sliced almost half an inch off the top of one of his fingers, described the powder as “pixie dust,” according to the newspaper.
The “pixie dust” is actually extra-cellular matrix, bursting with collagen and is made from a dried pig’s bladder, the newspaper reports.
The dust was designed to regenerate damaged ligaments in horses, the Daily Mail said.
Collagen is known to give skin strength and elasticity. It is thought that the dust kick-starts the body's natural healing process by sending out signals that mobilize the body's own cells into repairing the damaged tissue, according to the newspaper.
Spievack said his finger even has a fingernail and fingerprint.
Spievack injured his finger three years ago when it got caught in the propeller of a model plane. He did not want a skin graft, opting instead to try the “pixie dust.”
“There are all sorts of signals in the body,” said Dr. Stephen Badylak of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. “We have signals that are good for forming scar tissue and others that are good for regenerating tissues.
"One way to think about these matrices is that we've taken out many of the stimuli for scar tissue formation and left those signals which were always there for constructive remodeling."
Essentially, the powder directs tissues to grow fresh instead of forming a scar.
Spievak has not lost any bone, nerves or tendon material.

The Man Who Grew a Finger

In every town in every part of this sprawling country you can find a faceless sprawling strip mall in which to do the shopping.
Rarely though would you expect to find a medical miracle working behind the counter of the mall's hobby shop.
That however is what Lee Spievak considers himself to be.
"I put my finger in," Mr Spievak says, pointing towards the propeller of a model aeroplane, "and that's when I sliced my finger off."
It took the end right off, down to the bone, about half an inch.
"We don't know where the piece went."
The photos of his severed finger tip are pretty graphic. You can understand why doctors said he'd lost it for good.
Today though, you wouldn't know it. Mr Spievak, who is 69 years old, shows off his finger, and it's all there, tissue, nerves, nail, skin, even his finger print.
'Pixie dust'
How? Well that's the truly remarkable part. It wasn't a transplant. Mr Spievak re-grew his finger tip. He used a powder - or pixie dust as he sometimes refers to it while telling his story.
Mr Speivak's brother Alan - who was working in the field of regenerative medicine - sent him the powder.
For ten days Mr Spievak put a little on his finger.
"The second time I put it on I already could see growth. Each day it was up further. Finally it closed up and was a finger.
"It took about four weeks before it was sealed."
Now he says he has "complete feeling, complete movement."
The "pixie dust" comes from the University of Pittsburgh, though in the lab Dr Stephen Badylak prefers to call it extra cellular matrix.

The process he has been pioneering over the last few years involves scraping the cells from the lining of a pig's bladder.

How it works in detail The remaining tissue is then placed into acid, "cleaned" of all cells, and dried out.
It can be turned into sheets, or a powder.
It looks like a simple process, but of course the science is complex.
"There are all sorts of signals in the body," explains Dr Badylak.
"We have got signals that are good for forming scar, and others that are good for regenerating tissues.
"One way to think about these matrices is that we have taken out many of the stimuli for scar tissue formation and left those signals that were always there anyway for constructive remodelling."
In other words when the extra cellular matrix is put on a wound, scientists believe it stimulates cells in the tissue to grow rather than scar.
If they can perfect the technique, it might mean one day they could repair not just a severed finger, but severely burnt skin, or even damaged organs.
Clinical trial
They hope soon to start a clinical trial in Buenos Aires on a woman who has cancer of the oesophagus.
The normal procedure in such cases is often deadly. Doctors remove the cancerous portion and try to stretch the stomach lining up to meet the shortened oesophagus.
In the trial they will place the extra cellular matrix inside the body from where the portion of oesophagus has been removed, and hope to stimulate the cells around it to re-grow the missing portion.
So could limbs be re-grown? Dr Badylak is cautious, but believes the technology is potentially revolutionary.
"I think that within ten years that we will have strategies that will re-grow the bones, and promote the growth of functional tissue around those bones. And that is a major step towards eventually doing the entire limb."
That kind of talk has got the US military interested.
They are just about to start trials to re-grow parts of the fingers of injured soldiers.
Skin burns
They also hope the matrix might help veterans like Robert Henline re-grow burnt skin.
He was almost killed in an explosion while serving in Iraq. His four colleagues travelling with him in the army Humvee were all killed.
He suffered 35% burns to his head and upper body. His ears are almost totally gone, the skin on his head has been burnt to the bone, his face is a swollen raw mess.
So far he has undergone surgery 25 times. He reckons he has got another 30 to go.
Anything that could be done in terms of regeneration would be great he says.
"Life changing! I think I'm more scared of hospitals than I am of going back to Iraq again."
Like any developing technology there are many unknowns. There are worries about encouraging cancerous growths by using the matrix.
Doctors though believe that within the so called pixie dust lies an amazing medical discovery.

'Pixie Dust' From Pig's Bladder Regrows Man's Finger
With the help of an experimental powder, a man’s severed finger has regrown to its original length in just four weeks, reports London’s Daily Mail.

Lee Spievack, of Cincinnati, who sliced almost half an inch off the top of one of his fingers, described the powder as “pixie dust,” according to the newspaper.
The “pixie dust” is actually extra-cellular matrix, bursting with collagen and is made from a dried pig’s bladder, the newspaper reports.
The dust was designed to regenerate damaged ligaments in horses, the Daily Mail said.
Collagen is known to give skin strength and elasticity. It is thought that the dust kick-starts the body's natural healing process by sending out signals that mobilize the body's own cells into repairing the damaged tissue, according to the newspaper.
Spievack said his finger even has a fingernail and fingerprint.
Spievack injured his finger three years ago when it got caught in the propeller of a model plane. He did not want a skin graft, opting instead to try the “pixie dust.”
“There are all sorts of signals in the body,” said Dr. Stephen Badylak of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. “We have signals that are good for forming scar tissue and others that are good for regenerating tissues.
"One way to think about these matrices is that we've taken out many of the stimuli for scar tissue formation and left those signals which were always there for constructive remodeling."
Essentially, the powder directs tissues to grow fresh instead of forming a scar.
Spievak has not lost any bone, nerves or tendon material.

The Man Who Grew a Finger

In every town in every part of this sprawling country you can find a faceless sprawling strip mall in which to do the shopping.
Rarely though would you expect to find a medical miracle working behind the counter of the mall's hobby shop.
That however is what Lee Spievak considers himself to be.
"I put my finger in," Mr Spievak says, pointing towards the propeller of a model aeroplane, "and that's when I sliced my finger off."
It took the end right off, down to the bone, about half an inch.
"We don't know where the piece went."
The photos of his severed finger tip are pretty graphic. You can understand why doctors said he'd lost it for good.
Today though, you wouldn't know it. Mr Spievak, who is 69 years old, shows off his finger, and it's all there, tissue, nerves, nail, skin, even his finger print.
'Pixie dust'
How? Well that's the truly remarkable part. It wasn't a transplant. Mr Spievak re-grew his finger tip. He used a powder - or pixie dust as he sometimes refers to it while telling his story.
Mr Speivak's brother Alan - who was working in the field of regenerative medicine - sent him the powder.
For ten days Mr Spievak put a little on his finger.
"The second time I put it on I already could see growth. Each day it was up further. Finally it closed up and was a finger.
"It took about four weeks before it was sealed."
Now he says he has "complete feeling, complete movement."
The "pixie dust" comes from the University of Pittsburgh, though in the lab Dr Stephen Badylak prefers to call it extra cellular matrix.
Pig's bladder
The process he has been pioneering over the last few years involves scraping the cells from the lining of a pig's bladder.

How it works in detail The remaining tissue is then placed into acid, "cleaned" of all cells, and dried out.
It can be turned into sheets, or a powder.
It looks like a simple process, but of course the science is complex.
"There are all sorts of signals in the body," explains Dr Badylak.
"We have got signals that are good for forming scar, and others that are good for regenerating tissues.
"One way to think about these matrices is that we have taken out many of the stimuli for scar tissue formation and left those signals that were always there anyway for constructive remodelling."
In other words when the extra cellular matrix is put on a wound, scientists believe it stimulates cells in the tissue to grow rather than scar.
If they can perfect the technique, it might mean one day they could repair not just a severed finger, but severely burnt skin, or even damaged organs.
Clinical trial
They hope soon to start a clinical trial in Buenos Aires on a woman who has cancer of the oesophagus.
The normal procedure in such cases is often deadly. Doctors remove the cancerous portion and try to stretch the stomach lining up to meet the shortened oesophagus.
In the trial they will place the extra cellular matrix inside the body from where the portion of oesophagus has been removed, and hope to stimulate the cells around it to re-grow the missing portion.
So could limbs be re-grown? Dr Badylak is cautious, but believes the technology is potentially revolutionary.
"I think that within ten years that we will have strategies that will re-grow the bones, and promote the growth of functional tissue around those bones. And that is a major step towards eventually doing the entire limb."
That kind of talk has got the US military interested.
They are just about to start trials to re-grow parts of the fingers of injured soldiers.
Skin burns
They also hope the matrix might help veterans like Robert Henline re-grow burnt skin.
He was almost killed in an explosion while serving in Iraq. His four colleagues travelling with him in the army Humvee were all killed.
He suffered 35% burns to his head and upper body. His ears are almost totally gone, the skin on his head has been burnt to the bone, his face is a swollen raw mess.
So far he has undergone surgery 25 times. He reckons he has got another 30 to go.
Anything that could be done in terms of regeneration would be great he says.
"Life changing! I think I'm more scared of hospitals than I am of going back to Iraq again."
Like any developing technology there are many unknowns. There are worries about encouraging cancerous growths by using the matrix.
Doctors though believe that within the so called pixie dust lies an amazing medical discovery.

Abstract --- Provided are medical devices for implantation in patients having suffered the loss of or damage to at least part of their esophagus. The medical device connects the esophagus or remaining part thereof with the stomach to form a gastro-esophageal junction that promotes healing and encourages new host tissue growth while distributing the load and decreasing tension at the anastomotic site. The medical device comprises extracellular matrix shaped into a conformation that more closely approximates the geometry of the native gastro-esophageal junction than does direct attachment of the stomach to the shortened esophagus. Molds useful in manufacturing the medical device and methods of use of the device are also described herein.
